Hey, so in this article:http://freeskier.com/stories/profile-speaking-with-tanner-hall-about-his-road-to-redemption/2

Says

In May of 2009, at the peak of his career, on a film session in the terrain park at Stevens Pass, Washington with TGR, Hall overshot a landing and dropped 40 feet out of the air to flat, demolishing his legs. “It was the equivalent of being smashed in the knees by a car going 45 mph,” says Dr. Vern Cooley, a 20-year veteran of high-profile surgeries (like Tiger Woods’), who performed multiple surgeries on Tanner after the crash.

Is there a video of that?

Thanks!

If he dropped 40 feet to flat, he would not be at 45. He'd be at no more than 30. 45km/h maybe. And also it would only be equivalent if he had landed on his knees, and the ground was made of metal.

not sure if they were even filming. from what i remember it sounded like the accident happened while they were getting used to the speed for the jump.

either way, it wasn't released that i know of.

Yeah this sounds about right. They were definitely still figuring out the speed for the jump, as it was a line of moto-x/bmx style jumps (can't remember which) and Wiley Miller had overshot the same jump and gotten injured the day before. Tanner was testing it the day after Wiley's injury and got injured also.

yup cameras weren't rolling. here's a picture of the jump though. both tanner and wiley went way too big and landed flat, almost in the transition for the step down I believe

In the movie Like a Lion theres a POV of the jump I think when they are telling the story about that accident but they don't show the landing. I might watch the film again to check this because I'm not sure.

If you guys wanna see it you should buy the movie which is really dope by the way!

I think they show that POV as a reference to overshooting a jump, but I'm pretty sure the POV overshoot is from a jump up on the Whistler Glacier, possibly at Momentum.

yea that was from the year momentum built that big step up like 3 years ago? it was the year before COC had the big TTR gap jump, so whenever that was.
