Never really believed he could come back this strong. This is why he has been my favorite all around skier ever since I started skiing. Fuck yeah, Tanner.

The amount of people in this thread who doubted him before this is fucking disgusting! So stoked for his come back though, knew he could do it all along!

inb4 somebody raises the point of the finals only being 1 run and that was his advantage.

the argument could be made that TYW could have easily improved on his first run and got a higher score than T after a run or two more but the fact is it doesnt matter, tanner threw an 85 in his first run and could have easily improved aswell.

Just shows you can never underestimate Tanner. FUCK YEAH!

To the argument of this being a fuck you to red bull: It might have been a part of the decision to drop tanner because they thought he wasn't going to be able to compete with the top of the pipe game riders but the official line is that T and RB were heading in completely different directions in what they wanted in skiing and so a split was best for both sides. It's just going to make tanner getting another sponsor (if he wants one) even easier now that he's shown he is still definitely a force to be reckoned with and has an opening for a drinks sponsor.
 
take it easy with the band wagon boners. its 1 contest. yeah its sick he came back this strong but maybe wait a bit before you start blowing it up. just because you grabbed the first win doesnt mean youre going to dominate again. not trying to discredit what hes done, just saying im always skeptical.
 
i'm surprised so many of you are surprised by this. it was always pretty obvious he was going to come back strong now that the olympics have halfpipe. he's going to win it, i think. him and dumont are by far the two most competitive comp skiers, its why they're the best. maybe a lot of your are just really young and don't know who tanner is? i dunno. can't think of any other reason why you'd be so surprised about this
