Tanner hall vs Candide Thovex slvsh game

Candide is the type of dude who skis around like Adam Delorme. He doesn't have time for bullshit meaning he's not going to deal with filmers not being ready, judges figuring things out etc. Candide mobs around the mountain at Mach 10. The only way this game will work is if Duncan Adams is the judge and Nick and Alex Martini are on the follow cam. No waiting around...

Candide would definitely win. Candide can do every trick that Tanner does, and, as far as I know, Candide only crashes when confronted with Big Bertha.
 
Would be such a hyped match. Tough one to call. Candide typically goes faster and bigger but that isn't too relevant in slvsh normally. If it's a big mountain match, I'd lean towards Candide. Both guys are monsters.

This would be epic. Only thing that would make it better would be if they played SLVSHSKIINGGAMEINMOUNTAINS instead of just SLVSH

When you're young you need to secure the bag. Now a days you think Candide gives a fuck about anyone's opinion and what they think haha. He could care less about SLVSH and or making a special video. He does what he wants which is exactly what the videos he makes portray. Every edit he drops is him ripping around a mountain doing whatever he wants and that is the type of skier he is so even if he wasn't filming that's what he would be doing. He's not going to lose sleep over a certain edit, game of slvsh etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they made this happen but the same goes for if it doesn't, and that's probably how he feels as well.

Are you stupid. A skiing career doesn’t last forever and he wants to make as much money and as big of an impression as possible. Not to mention he wants to please his sponsors. This video would be huge and sell many skis.

This is beyond incorrect. You understand that most skiers over 30 don't give a fuck about the money plus by then their not making shit. Also they don't give a fuck about their sponsors as this is mutual haha. Look at Eric Pollard he left Line plus Tanner got dropped by Oakley which just shows you how the game works, it's a business and sponsors don't care about you. Candide is one of the only guys that makes money that's over 30. At that point you're in the game for pure passion which is def why Candide still does what he does. The only sponsor that should even mean anything to him is Audi but they just use him for his name as he's a big deal in Europe so he's doesn't have to do much. On top of this Candie has already made more money than prob 99 percent of park skiers so he's done well.

gonna have to disagree on this one. while yes a skiing career is limited when it comes to turning a profit, candide is in the tier of skiers that he will forever have sponsors and companies/opportunities willing to support him. similar to tony hawk (maybe not quite the same level but same idea). he will never compete professionally again but has such a vast fan base and influence on the industry that any company would love to pay him to promote their product, thus he really does have the freedom to do whatever the fuck he pleases. faction will never cut ties with them if they don't have to, along with all his sponsors

man can do what he wants without worries about how it affects his income

I bet that audi commercial candide did paid well over 300k and candide probably gets a percentage of candide skis which have sold well
 
Re: Wabs vs Woodsy, for such a hyped match I like Woodsy. Wabs is entertaining as hell but Woodsy would throw so much respect and hype and energy into it. I definitely laugh more when Wabs is reffing though.

Would be cool to see Joss hop in and ref more
 
Candide is the goat but Tanner has the greater park variety these days (but for his Achilles) and I reckon he’d win. Won’t happen but the hypotheticals are worth it anyway!!

I'll just put it this way, Nick Goepper lives in SLC and his house isn't a mansion by any means haha. This isn't 2007 when guys like Tanner, Candide and Simon dumont were making big time money. Keep in mind Goepper is arguably the best slope skier of all time as he as 4 X games golds and two Olympic podiums. Also, Tanner sold his house in PC and was living in an apartment. Yeah Candide gets paid to ski but I guarantee the majority of his income is from Audi as their a multi billion dollar company. Level 1 was charging people to be in their movies just to stay in business, hence why Jonah Williams never had a full part. Candide is in the top percent of skiers that make a living skiing but making a SLVSH edit isn't going to make a difference.

I know the point you are making but this its not like he is trying to walk back on the X-Games. It would be a fun OG exhibition match between two legends screwing around, probably at Alta or something. If he wants to do it for the laughs then that would be awesome but I dont think either him or Tanner would actually care about being the champion.

Yeah I'm not saying he's going to take it serious I'm saying his sponsors won't take it serious or care by any means. Candide and Tanner would def have fun I just don't think he really is going to make it a priority and his sponsors def won't either. It's something Candide himself would have to make happen and same with Tanner. I would be so hyped to see this happen so I'm not downplaying it; it's just something they would have to do for fun and coordinate themselves.
 
Slvsh has become much more popular and serious than when it first started but I don't think anyone takes it that seriously and who cares if they do or not? That's kind of the point. No one is getting rich or making significant money from it. No one would care whether Candide or Tanner win. It's always been 1000% for fun. Yeah, the people playing get really into it but pretty much nothing is gained but bragging rights.

Arguably meaning he's in the top 3 as far as best slope skiers and that's based on statistics. He's won 4 X games gold medals and the fourth was his 10th year at X games. So that's 10 years of consistency plus having two Olympic podiums which he is also the only skier to have done so far. On top of this every slope comp he's at he's a top contender. How many other skiers have been as consistent as him. Joss never won the X games, same with Gus Kenworthy and Oystein has 1 Gold in Slope at Aspen and another in Europe. Tanner Hall has 3 X Games golds in Slope and the others are in Superpipe and Big Air and Candide has 1 Gold in Slope and same with Henrik. Not sure who else would compare to him in Slope nevermind that Goepper is going to try qualify for his 3rd Olympic run. This is insane in any sport, there's not many athletes in track and field, swimming etc that make it to three different Olympics. Obviously it will be tough since he's competing for spots with Colby Stevenson, Alex Hall etc. He also hasn't had any major injuries so who knows how long he will keep competing for since he's only 26.
