so my friend, who isn't yet on ns, commented this on Tanner Hall's myspace:

Dear Tanner, please explain to me why you suck so much?

Tanner, being the nice person he is, sent a message instead of a comment right back:

way for tanner to be the bigger man and not be a douche about it. and yet still completly make fun of him at the same time

Tanner has done a number of things well here. He has reversed many tired trends in spelling and punctuation, and he claimed the moral high-ground while at the same making the snide comment of "look where you are in your life." So, they kinda both end up looking like dicks...

my friend obviously did this as a joke and doesn't believe that tanner hall sucks

i think it's funny that tanner used all caps, poor spelling, and even took the time to respond to such a statement

if tanners life is really going in a different direction why would he put down a newb?

i dunno i dont like tanner as much as i do simon. i feel that tanner exaults himself a litle to much. i sent a message to simon on myspace telling him how awesome he is and he said thanx man have a good winter, which was pretty cool
 
i think that people need to grow up and stop being like this.   you obviously don't know Tanner on any sort of a personal level, so what grounds do you have to make these absurd falsifications regarding himself or whatnot that certainly pertains very little to reality.

its pretty lame to send him a message saying he sucks. I am suprised he dignified such a crappy message, with a response. I think NS should try and interview Tanner so he can speak out against all the haterz. People should show the guy some more respect.

did it ever appear to you that it could not be the real tanner hall? i know that theres like 6 fake facebooks for him.
 
i dont think your friend shoudve said that and i also think that tanner shouldve just ignored it since it was probably just a joke. but it doesnt mean tanner is a bad guy, it was your friend that started it in the first place

Tanner never ceases to amaze me.
 
sometimes i wish skiing was like greyhound racing or cockfighting and the athletes didn't have to have personalities. i try to appreciate skiing as a purely aesthetic form, and not care about the person doing the trick, but it's really hard to separate when you know the skier is douche bag . . .it's hard to enjoy watching their segment as much, especially with "lifestyle" shots interspersed to remind you they're a douche bag. i'm not directing this at THall necessarily. i'm used to his persona and it doesn't bother me. it's the up-and-comers who throw their arms up at the camera and play gangster dress-up.

Tanner should have just responded: I suck? at what?

but his was still funny. Does your friend ski? I am not to worried about whether your friend is into park pipe urban backcountry or big mountain tanner kills in in all of them. One of the best all around skiers out there.
