so after getting 3 concussions in the same bern baker last year, its time for a new helmet. few questions tho first:

i rocked an xl baker with a hat and goggles under it, size chart says they are the same so xl will fit? how do EG2s fit with it? and when will the helmet go on sale, i have been searching everysite i can think of but still cant find it!

if you are going to take the pads out and wear beanie under, the size specs are irrelevant. my large receptor bug fits HUGE with all the pads taken out, with the normal set up pads in the sizing is then accurate. large is 57-58cm around yer noggin.

Ive been kind of wondering the same thing about this helmet. Im getting a new helmet this year and I was interested in this one but I couldnt find it anywhere. The only sight I found it on was a swedish site. I saw the price for it on the poc website and its around $130. I was also wondering when it would go on sale... bump

"thread jack" ive got a size large for sale right now brand new black for $40 off next seasons retail...

maybe the reason you had 3 concussions is because you took the pads out of your helmet... a beanie isnt gunna cut it for a bad fall

just incase you didnt know, once you get a concussion in a helmet it isnt as strong anymore and makes it ways easier to get another concussion

im also interested in this helmet. last year i used a smith holt, size large, with all the pads out, and a beanie and goggles underneath. i've decided that thats probably not too safe now, haha. so my question is..what size should i get if my head's 57-58, and i want to be able to keep the pads in, but still wear a beanie and goggles underneath?

if you want to pay $350 for a helmet go ahead. i know POC is the leading innavator in helmet technology, but paying that much money to keep your head safe is just appalling. go with the Smith maze. its super light and strong. its only like $100

...

the poc receptor bug is only $130. i personally think POCs are way worth it, so much safer, and i'd rather spend a little more, and keep my head safe.

57-58 cm is the size of the large. If you are going to keep the pads in, you would need an xl, and even then it would be a squeeze and probably sit 6 inches up on your head.

yeah, but i know some people who can have it fit perfectly with the pads still in, while wearing a beanie and goggles underneath.

bump on this thread
I am set on gettin a POC helmet (birthday next week, zoom zoom), and my head is massive, so i know I will need the XXL, will I be able to sneak a beanie in underneath? (I wear a 7 5/8 to 7 3/4 new era if that helps)
And, where can I get it? I read backcountry, but any other spots, especially if I live in Canada?
Thanks guys

precisely
maybe you get some concussions because you take the pads out...but that doesn't matter, it's all about looking like everyone else does

random addition-

just saw the helmet at REI and US Outdoor store today, looks pretty cool with the rasta i guess, I didnt really like how tanners name is written on the back of it. Cant go wrong with POC though, sick helmets for sure.
