Tanner Hall - competing in slope style

Tanner made a entire thread on here 2 years ago denouncing double flips and Jon Olsson's shit as 'circus tricks', essentially just ways of pleasing the crowd for an entertainment aspect. Not that lucid or coherent and in all caps, but that's what I took from it.

Don't get me wrong, he is on a whole other level than anyone else in pipe. But I just remember how much shit NS game him when he got beat by Gagnier, who had a better run, felt he was slighted and stopped skiing slopestyle like a bitch. He just can't beat the slopeskiers of today, especially if Hatveit's healthy. But the judges will push him on the podium anyway. Oh and fuck the Dew Tour. I thought the gravity games were dead, as well they should be.

Hopefully they put a women's slope in X this year. I will pregame hard for that.
 
Oh and your a dumbass. Having the dew tour pump an extra couple hundred thousand dollars into our sport must really suck huh?
 
I have no idea how some of you can be so skeptical, you must not have seen the BOOM edits...Tanner killed every rail in NZ just as well as Henrik and then rest of them, 450 disaster pretzel 270 out, pretzels every which way, FS switchups BS switchups, everything you could imagine. And then he throws textbook clean 10's with STYLE, doubles, etc. Not to mention his level of dedication is through the roof and he's obviously going to train his fucking ass off....I hate to conform, but give the guy some credit. Throughout all of his BC/Halfpipe training, he has not missed a beat in the park. I suggest you watch the BOOM edits one or 15 more times.
 
Tanner dominates whatever he puts his mind to. I have no doubt He'll be a serious contender for double gold at X this year. Those NZ edits are sick and that is 6 months from the x-games.

Glad to see there is no more tanner hate on NS...
 
This should be very interesting. Tanner has spent a long time away from jumps and rails, and I'm going to watch closely to see how he does. There's tons of new talent riding around these days, and I wonder how Tanner will fare against it. I'll be following this closely this season

You don't think he'll commit all his time to prepare and train for it?

The guy has proven that when he chooses to compete in an event, he won't settle. He does everything possible to get first.
 
i think tanner definitely can't compete with poeple like hatveit today, but i also think he can surprise anyone, with the training he can do. the man can be dedicated, and really T Hall=GOD.
 
womens ski slope would be more worthwhile the snowboard womens. seriously, the snowboard girls do mostly 3s, surprising how large the gap is for snowboard women in pipe and slope.
