I don't know if this has been posted before, but I just found this interview and it changed my opinion of Tanner

...he sounds so mellow and laid back and in love with the sport. I think he's gonna go big this year, something huge that will be the new switch 1440 of this year...I'm not saying he's gonna spin like crazy, but the way he talks about backcountry booters I believe he's got something in mind.

Tanner has always dominated the ski scene. Personally, I've never understood why people didnt have respect for him. After watching Show And Prove, in my opinion he's the best skier on the planet. He's just so well rounded, and from that interview he definatly had a positive attitude about the sport and all of the different aspects of it. I'm stoked to see what he'll do this season.

exactly..i mean, in the first paragraph he sounds like such an intellectual by saying that he "conceptualizes" his skiing and tries to progress as much as possible...i just think its a shame people have to bash on him because he dresses and acts the way he does...

hes actually pretty articulate when pressed. i guess i dont understand the need to sound gangsta the rest of the time.

no hate, he does what he does and he does it fuckin well.

i agree. but then if you watch the skipress interview, it's back to the old t hall . . . he's got the slim shady accent and you can't take him seriously. i'm not a tanner hater though. you can't expect someone who was so successful while so young to be down to earth. also, he's gotten better since the vail-jail incident, when people made him realize how childish the gangster shit is. the 9 crew could learn from him.

he was filming up at baker during the week when baker got like 136 inches and my brother met him in the lodge, said he was mad chill.

T-Hall is the man, this interview did not change my view on him becasue i liked him anyways, he has always been one of my hero's and always will be. Really good interview though.

as much as I wish Tanner was still the slopstyle superstar he was before his injury, Hes now super well rounded everywhere skier, and i remember when people hated him for riding only park in his seggies (yrs ago). Tanner has always been my fav., i cant see how anyone could diss anything hes done skiing wise!
