Tanner and his park riding

Since tanner hall quitting the xgames slopestyle and his movies being more and more concentrated on powder riding, Ive been really underestimating his skills in the park. I just watched the lastest COC session vid, and wow, he throws hard, and he even did a kangaroo flip on that big ass jump...

So for all the people like me that were thinking that tanner was becoming less good in the park, we're pretty wrong. He isnt the best park rider for sure, but he still throws hard in the park.

werd.

i think he realized that the to be "THE" skier in the sport, he had to master every aspect of skiing, not just one (eg park).. and I think he's gone out and is now doing that.

he holds it down on street rails too, infact i'd say he may be the best on street rails, a segment of our sport that needs to catch up.

excuse me?

urban needs to catch up. did you see LSS? or show and prove (only for the rail switch up). i'd say thats from from something we need to catch up with.

he used to ski moguls a lot.

I think its the natural progression of park skiers to start really concentrating on backcountry once they are really well known. Youve proven yourself in comps and companies will pay you to ski in pow. I would quit comps forever for that. pow and doing stuff in the backcountry is so much better. rails are great, and i would still do them, but pow is amazing.

either way tanner isnt gettin as much attention anymore cause all he does is ride pow pretty much.... dont get me wrong he throws down but y does he have a ski when he doesnt ride it? at least me it a pow ski like he rides 90 precent of the time... i would way rather meet sammy or dumont

read my thread

Tanner you really get under my skin

or something closely named to that

some smart kids posted in there. read up

ya im spending like 2 grand just to meet pros... thats retarded i go to get better and learn more stuff but im sayin its a waiste and tanners retarded

cough cough cough cough they still aren't up to par with snowboarders on urbans... i'm not talking about gnarly rails i'm talking about tricks.. go watch one of the new trailers on twsnow.com and you will understand where i'm comin from... nollie back 270 the hard way

yea its makin me mad too. its lik comparing apples to oranges. YOU CANT . they are polar opposites.

you can compare to a certain point and we are still very far behind snowboarding when it comes to rails.

not really because the possibilities on snowboards and skis are completely different

its like comparing rollerblading and skateboarding

no it really isn't though. the guy with bigbird in his picture is right, snowboarding is way ahead of skiing on street rails. It has nothing to do with limitations of skis, its just straight evolution. go watch nate bozung in like the resistance, its like watching ski kids on street rails now, skiings at about were snowboarding was in 02' on street rails. Not to say its gonna take 5 years to catch up though, shits progressing real fast in the last season

we're talkin about tanner fuckin hall here, if you have ever ridin with him bounced with him anything involving skiing you kno he works harder than 99.999999345% of people to learn new tricks new grabs new anything and everything. the kid is a fuckin animal and anyone who thinks he isnt pushing it as hard as the second he started skiing is an idiot.

this guy's right. though skiers own SBers on cleaning crazy rails, the tricks snowboarders pull on relatively simpler ones are crazy and way ahead of skiing (but a few skiers are closing the gap pretty well)

yea t-hall's a rad skier, he grew up hitting moguls then went to park which is way cool. so he can actually ski which is great

He was,and for me he always will be the King of the Park.He Also always threw it down hard in backountry-go watch ski movie 3,it s rediculous how steezy he is.

And i am just sooo glad he has moved to bug mnt.Cause it is him to become a new big mnt legend.

Also this guy works in style not in spin to win shiat!
