Tamron lens

That is what is attractive. I can get a D80, 28-80 lens and a 70-300 lens with a bunch of stuff for about 1k.

Very tempting
 
Same here man. But i figure is is such a good deal that i can always upgrade the glass later.

I mean i kinda priced out all of the stuff it comes with and it is well over $1500. So i buy it, get a good deal on the package and then get better glass later.

And i am not super serious into photography so i think it will be ok.
 
they make good lenses and bad lenses, just like Canon and Nikon. Some cheaper lenses can be crap, and some they make are much much nicer. Look up reviews and I'm sure you'll find some reliable info. on the specific ones your'e buying.
 
I've shot everywhere from Sigma to Zenza and still think Nikkor makes some of the highest quality glass. And no, I've never shot Zeiss or Hassy so leave T* out of it.
