So i was wondering is this lens any good

there is a lot of talk bout the 17-50mm but i was curious to know if this any good because the 50mm does not have enough zoom but a 55-200 is to much i thought this would be a good happy medium for me.

I would be planning to use this lens for action sports stuff trampoline, bmx, ski etc

with a canon t3i

The 18-55 that comes with it and some old screw on fisheye/wide angle (works fine).

I'm looking to upgrade the main zoom lens (18-55) and later to a rokinon or a tokina fisheye (from the screw on).
