Tamil Tiger supporters protesting in Toronto.

Quite frankly I think it is bullshit. Not only was it wreckless as fuck but they endangered peoples lives by packing that many people onto such a small area so high up. They keep referring to themselves as "the community wants this shit, the community wants that" Fuck that, welcome to CANADA, you left your country to get away from the fighting and warfare and we took you in, welcome to our community, stop blocking our fucking traffic. I undertand the need for protest but they took t one step too far by taking it to the Gardiner.
 
I know, it's bullshit. They think that for some reason the laws are the same as in their thirdworld economic backwater. We let you in, we gave you healthcare, we let you live here, SO SHUT THE FUCK UP AND OBEY THE LAWS! Also convenience store clerks that don't speak English..WTF!!
 
I thought Canada as a nation was all about embracing other peoples cultures and having compassion for their issues? I don't think we should be labeling these protesters as criminals, and I certainly have no issue with the nature of their protests, but blocking the Gardiner expressway is ridiculous, and incredibly dangerous.

I am all for non-violent protests, and I believe these people have every right to raise awareness for what is going on in their homeland, but they should do so using the methods as outlined by our laws.
 
It's total BS that they blocked the Gardiner, I agree with that. It's on par with the filthy natives who blocked highways a few years ago.

Canadian law outlines standard protocol for how to legally protest an issue, and maybe these people aren't aware of these laws?

I am all for their protests if they do it legally, hopefully the crowd today doesn't get agitated and escalate into a riot.
 
yeah they should obey all those laws that dont allow people to protest peacefully...

judging by this forum they have succeeded somewhat....do we criticize the protests in 60's...hopefully through these protests aid and help will be sent to those who need it....peace

They don't NEED to fight, they don't NEED to kill, they just choose to because they are fucked, in the ass, with a roll of quarters. They could just hand over the land to the government, but they don't. Sort of like Caledonia here.
 
No....I am pretty sure we would still have it, we found it after and then gave them whiskey to quell the sadness within them. It's who found it last, even though they didn't lose it...we still won it.
 
Many of the natives that were involved with those protests were arrested and charged for it...Can you imagine having someone hurt or sick and not being able to get medical attention because of these dumb assess blocking the roads?

they had woman and children at the front of the pack on the gardiner how fucked up is that?

and if Canada decides to take "action" we would surely be the only country doing so. were already wasting our time in trashcanistan weve lost over 100 soldiers there for what? the betterment of the people fuck that. so why the fuck would we go to sri lanka

 
I've heard the Sri Lanka army is just as bad, with the use of clusterbombs to take out targets, killing hundreds of civilians in the process.

These protesters want the war to end... and I doubt they agree with the tactics used by EITHER side. They did emigrate, after all.
 
some of you guys are looking at this situation completly one-sided and are sounding like douchebags. these people are Canadian citizens, and have every right to protest...

everyone in Canada is an immigrant of 3 or 4 generations, stop being such inconsiderate douches and let these people protest all they want. Im sure the government of Sri Lanka will say these dudes use children as human shields and sh*t, but i dont think anyones in any place to make a call on whos in the right/wrong with this situation without a better understanding of the whole thing...

I dont care if they protest Im just not agreeing with what theyre protesting for. and shutting down the gardiner is pushing it to far.
