Tallness ...or shortness

so does it really matter how tall you are ? to get tricks down and stuff ? Ive heard from a couple people that it is harder for taller people ....

its sometimes harder for taller people to make grabs look good and such. just kinda what i think but if you can watch peter o's seg in forward its kinda what i mean.

im tall 6'4" but i suck sooo.... i dont know. i have found that all my short friends are way more agile than all my tall friends. so short prolly helps but doesnt matter too much.

i am pretty sure that its harder to make tricks look good when youre over 6'. i am about this height and i have to say that all the smaller kids i know throw around a lot more. but it can just me.

and you have to remember that if youre tall, its pretty sure that you weigh more, and because of that the impacts are more massive, that helps a lot for those 12 year old kids

Physically, being a shorter skier has its advantages with the lower center of gravity. But even tall people can be good, just look at Spriggs, 6'4".

i think tallness helps getting on high handrails (my biggest weekness being 5ft) but i can grab my skis anywhere super easy and ppl r like "OMG tht little kid is so steezy"

haha yeah im like 6'0 and it seems like i tower over everybody....its harder to do some grabs but it can have its advantages...like not nutting on most rails

It veries I am 13 and I am only 5 feet tall. Everything is way bigger when your my size. but yeah I can grab easier and rails I have more of a centrerd small balance so those are way easier!!!

No thats straight up somthing that is taught to us and its bullshit. look at the olenicks there like 6 ft plus.

thats all bullshit. its proportion. having more body to control? you should be used to your body. theres a difference between tall and no coordination. liam-tall, evan bogart- no coordination

^ Haha, if you have been working with a tall body all your life, you are not going to have a harder time than anyone else skiing. That's like saying a person 120 pounds is going to have an easier time then someone who is 150 pounds.

Yeah I dont think tallness is a biggie, but I only way about 85 pounds so I need to bomb two hills to get speed for things that people that way more only have to bomb one hill for.

being taller does not make it harder to grab...yes your legs are longer and your skis are further from your waist than short people but your arms are longer as well...so it makes up for it

as long as you're proportionate it's all the same thing. think about it

i read somewhere that jon was 6'0"

My friend is short and wears a grey jumpsuit which makes him so much steezier because he looks likea little kid. Also all the skiiers are all crouched so it makes the small people look even better

yea im weird to...im 5'10 and my arms are 6'3....but i have long legs for my body so grabbing is a lil harder but long arms make up for it

^^ technically your wingspan should be excactly the same as your height, if they are that much longer that is ridiculous.

personally i think it is easier being short, all the olympic gymnast people are really short i believe. but i dont think that is a good excuse for sucking.

yeah cause my friend kinda bitches about being tall and i see how it could work but after thinking about it, it makes sense

im 5'11" too so ...

i own you all and im 6'6 and i dont think olenick is 6'4 but maybe i dunno, his dad is the super tall one. and yes i have steez.

small people tend to have better style, the taller you are the bigger the jump you should hit to give more time for grabs and shit

dude its all relative, if you took a picture of a small person and scaled it up to be the same size as a phot of a tall guy, they would look the same

id say it is easier fo a short person to huck spins and stuff like that but seeing as im short i couldnt tell u for sure
