Tall Tees

Much as those guys are good at what they do, they are nowhere NEAR the top of this sport. I have a feeling you're just trolling for a reaction, because there's no way you actually believe what you just said.

It is a genre of skiing that did not exist ten years ago, and if it didn't happen I think skiers would have fast become an endangered species. But I see it getting shit on by the old guard that doesn't understand why people like it so much, even though it is one of the most accessible aspects of the sport. Respect to both sides...it's all REAL.

I can get to the bottom of the park...

my guess is they would have a lot of problem getting to the bottom of say this:

completely different things, its not like big mountain skiers can do rails or jumps, and most park skiers cant do big mountain. does that mean either is bad? no, it just means theyre good at what they like, nothing wrong with that. btw, theres alot of park (or ex-park) skiers that can do that, like tanner.

actually most big mountain skiers I know can slide a rail and a do 3's and a few can do 7's and 9's.

but I don't want to fight this battle because most of you are to dumb to know when your wrong.

does the thought of people being happy being park rats or wearing what they feel like wearing really upset you guys that much? NS is becoming a huge fashion forum however , i think its mad gay that kids are all wearing these clothes and stuff because of wallisch stepp hornbeck harlaut, its pretty lame too when kids ask like should I wear this and that. everyone just needs to live their lives and stop worrying about other people, theirs alot better things you can do with your life.

so do you enjoy contradicting yourself in your own post or do you just do these things by accident? "let ppl do what they want, it's all ok" ........ "it's gay if you wear it this way"

I agree with some of your points, you ppl just need to move on and not worry about what ppl are wearing or what slope they can get to the bottom of who honestly gives a fuck. GROW THE FUCK UP, you guys are arguing over pieces of cloth..... AGAIN!

so 2 consecutive posts in which you contradict yourself, congrats you enjoy contradicting yourself in posts.
"i gave my opinion for everyone to see but ppl should be left to themselves"

wow way to talk shit on athletes levin.. good thing you had such a long and prosperous career making movies eh? you must have done well... 2 movies and i dont own either, you killed it!

hahaha damn

I absolutely hate posting in the forums here about anything anymore. It's just a bunch of crap. But I happened to stumble across this piece of shit comment and had to respond.

Hate on the style all you want but don't go hating on the athletes. All of those skiers mentioned could probably "ski" circles around you. Not to mention dance around on rails and jumps better than you. Being able to do such "figure skating tricks" as you say, takes more edge control and balance then it does to ski your shit show 10 runs a year.

We choose to ski the stuff we ski, because we find it challenging, fun, and rewarding. I use to have some respect for you sir, thought scandalous was entertaining.

But I've just lost all respect i once had.

Thanks for completely shit talking some great athletes and good friends of mine!!

Bye

David Levin... did someone hijack your screenname? I love you man (no homo), but had to step in here... I would have thought you know better then to tear apart some of the most talented up-and-coming kids in our sport?
Now we've all been part of some pretty questionable fashion trends over the years that we can probably look back on and laugh at now, maybe Tall Ts will be one of them, and maybe not, but to knock the actual skiers rocking them, and call out their style, skills, etc, is something of a surprise.
Maybe I'm misreading this (only read the last 10 posts) and its all a huge joke because you're high/drunk/bored, in which case, you're certainly caused quite the stir, but I'll go right ahead and vouch for the fact that a few years down the road, the names your calling out, and kids that are inspired by them will be leading the charge well outside of the terrain parks, streets, etc.
I'm usually pretty on point with these things.
If I remember correctly, just a few short years ago, Tanner Hall was little more then a park rat himself (and before that, like many, many others, a bump skier), and now he's unquestionably the leader of our sport, taking skiing to a whole new level on really big terrain. Where did he develop his skills? He'll be the first to get behind the names you've called out... Eric Pollard? Another one of the athletes at the forefront of backcountry progression; I remember watching him spin laps on 100cm skiboards at Killington, throwing misty 7s off gaper lips on the side of lift towers... Before Any Mahre landed backwards on 100ft+ bc jumps, I watched him do 450s onto park boxes for years. Boronowski started his pro career as one of the first and preeminent "jibbers." The list could go on and on... All these careers started off with what these athletes had access to, and interest in, at the time.
Bottom line, Wallisch, Ahmet, Henrik, Delorme, Brogan, Hornbeck, and the rest of 'em will be around for a long time helping to feed the direction of the sport you love, and chances are they'll be doing amazing things all over the mountain and beyond, and taking skiing to another level that none of us can conceptualize, regardless of what they're wearing. Give them the respect they deserve.

This just in from Wall Street:

Tall Tee and Snuggie sales are through the roof! Every manufacturer of these products has seen stock value increase of over 300% since this thread was started!

It seems that controversy creates sales booms these days. I smell a conspiracy.

Oh damn, I got clowned

But I must say, Tom W, by now you of all people should know better than to take stuff on NS seriously. Berman too. This is pretty par for the course in terms of Levin on NS so if someone "hijacked his account" they're doing a good impression.

Stuff like this is funny until people start getting defensive n shit.

(I only now realize I could be getting clowned again)

LOUD NOISES AHHHHH. the orange speaks, and is heard by the masses, but does anyone care. its all jokes until someone takes your BS seriously, but when all you offer is BS, then people must think your completely full of it.

At least this butt fucker used a word other than STEEZE to describe tall tees... I mean, I think grease is a positive descriptor, am I wrong?

are you serious? why the fuck do you have an orange name? whichever company you rep is getting a bad rap out of this one...

I'm hesitant to agree with you, but only cause I don't want the fun in this thread to end, but I'm right there with you on that, 100%
