ok so today was the first time iv'e ever seen myself on camera. i was doing this 24 foot kink that is set up so the flat part of it it's going up hill a little . well anyways i totaly greese it been doing what iv'e always done and people are like. "you have good style on rails". but when i looked at my self on film i thought i looked freakin hudge compared to every thing and i was just this giant thing riding down the hill. and me being big just made me look bad.

thats nto that big. but i think it can look really good if yoru about that hieght. will wesson is about 6ft 1 and he is soo steezy and he doesnt go guerilla
 
yep... your eyes pick out the bad stuff not the good stuff.. i am about your size and i feel the same.. but skiing is about having fun not lookin good ya know?
 
i know what you mean on that one. i'm 6'4" and it sucks cause you get self concious about your style. who cares though, just have fun.
 
yeah dude im 6'1 too... its not a big deal...when your tall atleast i start to get my own style and stuff like that...well i hope i do hha
 
good call dude, downey is one of my favorite people to watch on urbans and he's huge. just don't force yourself to be tucked up, as long as its smooth it'll look good, and anything unique about you, like height will make it look even better
 
I think the reason that you think you look bad is because you are used to seeing short people in the films. In most cases good style, defined but what we see the current pros doing. So just because your style is different, doesn't mean it is bad.
 
If your a big dude, and you seriously try and look total gorilla then u will look like an asshole unless u r just nasty and can seriously pull it off cause u dial everything.

and everyone def hates themselves on film
 
^u know i definitely agree with u...just watch like the olenicks and like mark dvorak. some of the best rail style ive ever seen and theyre all more than 6 ft. I think the slightly bent knees and really relaxed looking rail style is much better looking than the gorilla. Even Mick D. hes not tall or anything but he doesnt really bend down and hang his arms all the time. He keeps his body pretty straight and bends in the knees. It's the relaxed look that makes rail style look good
 
ya im 6'3 and i battle my self everyday. Most of my freinds im smooth and they think my style is so sick, but when i look at my footage, i hate it all. there have only been 2 shots of my that i actually like. its hard bein tall, and skiing is definatly all about fun, but if person feels they look good, then their gonna feel good. When i feel like im look like shit i just say im telling my self lies and that i dont look as bad as i think

I say, if the trick feels sick, then it looks sick.
 
Get big clothes and skis to offset it. That's what I do, because I am a gangsta.

I am 6'1, and I know how you feel. but unless you are pushing ot be in movies or something, don't worry about it, hus thave fun.your style will develop as you get better at anyhting you do.
 
likes it said before most people always are kinda suprised how they look on camera. its not really wether or not yer tall. just sometimes things feel alot steezyier or bigger then they are then u get yerself all stoked and when u watch it its kinda a let down. im tall and don't feel goofy when skiing. u just have to be comfortable with yer body i guess
 
6 ft 3 here, and I find ballin up off of big hits & drops...and tucking the chin in helps keep it together. No worries Tall dudes..We ski big ass lines!
 
yea pete olenick is about the same height as me, 6'1" and he still looks mad steezy, but he also wears baggy ass shit - which i think helps a lot, especially since us non midget guys make everything look smaller.
 
im 6'3 and i dont have a problem with my style, i used to think about it, but who really gives a fuck, theres nothing you can do about it, and it looks fine on video. watch my vids, im in all tan.
 
yeah im 6'4" and i try not to think too hard about it. But every once in a while ill look around the park and realize that everyone just comes up to my chest and then i feel huge. The main thing about being tall is that u gotta make sure and not flail at all. Cuz the littlest movement out of place stands out that much more cuz of how big u are.
