takn rust off rails

I have found a sick rail that i have soon to 'acuire' into my possesion, but its a little rusty on the top, not too super rusty, but doable. How could i take the rust off this rail? mass sandpaper, buffer or something? thanks.

/\ yeah cuz we all have sandblasters layin around. a corse wire brush in a power drill works the best if youve got that stuff. sandpaper gets the job done though.

Noice duude. i gues im gonna buy some PVC piping 2 make some stuff too, how much does that stuff go for im not a hardware nut.

 
sand paper and maybe some new paint if u want

i bought a 12 foot piece of pvc at my hardware store and it came out to be like 5.99 or somethin..really cheap

sand paper will work good just get the fine grit shit not the wicked rough dtuff
