so what would happen if i were to take some expired hydrocodone?

could anything bad potentially happen?

you can take them but they might be less affecive. the chemicals have half lifes and the expiration date i believe is the first half life.

wow...

Depends on how old, a little passed the date shouldn't hurt but I've taken 15 year old tylenol before and nothing bad happened.

And just to clarify, I'm not suggesting that you take medication that old on purpose, I didn't notice until I had taken it.

ibuprofen typically has a shelf-life of 2 years (give or take). its totally safe to take it once its expired, its just a FDA formality that all medications must eventually expire. your hydrocodone will likely be less potent, thats all it wont hurt you
