Taking Cork 7s to Snow

I'm good a doing cork 7s on the tramp. How would you take that to the snow. And what kind of jump should I try it on first. Thanks

I was in your situation for the longest time until last spring. If you've got access to a floaty 30ish jump it'll be easy, just embrace the hang time. You can always do it on a smaller jump but you'll have to spin so fast that you'll be completely lost in the air. I'd recommend that when you're kind of feeling it just claim that you're sending to all your friends and they'll go to the knuckle to watch you. You'll get a heavy dose of peer pressure. Next step is to throw your cork like you do on a tramp, trust your air awareness, and you'll come around to your feet first try before you know it.

I was the same way, had them on lock on the tramp and really wanted to put it to snow. I had tried a few years prior and just kinda hucked it, over rotated to a 9, face planted and broke my thumb.

Took 2 year for me to sack up and try again. I decided I needed more air time and my resort had just built its "big air jump" for a comp. It was about 50' to knuckle and they opened it to the public after the contest. I threw a couple of regular 7s first to test the water then just decided to go for it. I found carving into the 7 and throwing my arms and body the same way as I did on a tramp to work the best.

1. Find a decent sized jump, don't be afraid of a larger than usual jump, the extra air time will really help.

2. Figure out if you like to carve into the 7 or just hit it straight on (I prefer the carve and also think it looks nice)

3. Nut up and throw it, if you'r comfortable enough to do it on the tramp like its no big deal, then transferring to snow should be relatively easy

SEND IT SON.

I dont have any real advice on cork 7s. But more often than not, if you're feeling/ thinking about doing a trick, you're probably ready for it. Trust yourself, and do what you know how to do! Commit commit commit!

Here's a link to where I ski the jump I want to hit it on is at :58. Could someone tell me if it's big enough?

Well where I go (blue mountain in pa)we have a super shitty park so it's either a 20 footer or a 35-40 footer

(which I haven't hit yet) I might try it at seven springs when I go because they have a good park

Bmbw? It would be suicidal to cork 7 any of their regular season jumps

Some kid did a cork 9 on the second "jump" last season. Everybody went nuts. Apparently he was on the Holiday Valley ski team. The kid is super nice and full of stoke.

That was prob Quinn, he is a lunatic

wow dude, I though you should know by now that trampolining and skiing are 2 completely different execution.

Start with landing 7s easy, then tweek the rotation on take off. its not about hucking meat.

just drive up to big boulder, lot shorter drive than springs and they have 3+ different jumps you can easily learn cork 7 on

I hope for the same as well but i wouldn't get your hopes up. Chris Perks (the head of park crew) just quit. He was the best thing that has come to the valley in a while, he built us like 6 new rails last year and did the best he could with the park. He was the one that built those great jumps in foxfire two seasons ago and did all of that. The owners of holiday valley are old and don't support the free ski community; last year they were being complete dicks and only let Perks work on the park like once every month or two. They even turned half of the jump park into a nastar race course like wtf. So now that Perks is gone I don't know what to expect; Who is gonna build the jumps, who is taking over, etc. I do know that some of my friends are joining park crew to help out but none of them have a license to drive a snowcat so again, idk who is gonna build the jumps. It will definitely be an interesting season but we will just have to deal with it I guess :(

The landing was pretty flat but it was so slushy that day that there was like a river at the bottom of it lol, it was pretty fun but pretty sketchy.

Does anyone have any tips for someone like me that can't keep corks from not turning into d-spins/ back fulls? I haven't gotten any other advice than less flip, more spin and that isn't helping...
