Taking apart p14 brake

ok, i tried searching but i can't find anything. how the hell do you take apart a pivot binding brake assembly to bend it? a link with pictures or detailed instructions would be nice.

also make sure you have the right tools, are somewhat mechanically adept, and know how the binding fits together before you do anything

wait for the regular pivot series if you just slide the metal plate that the binding screws into off the heelpiece and then unhook the brake, it's incredibly easy, they're just really hard to bend

yeah but the metal is way more brittle so they break easier and are way harder to bend, imo pivot brakes are the hardest to bend

unscrew the wormscrew on the back of the heelpiece the whole way until the heelpiece slides off the heeltrack, then turn it upside down and you will see how the brake connects with the heelpiece

it literally slots in from the side

Should be the same design as these with the black part being the brake housing :

mine definitely does not look like that. they're rossi axial 140 races...if that makes a difference. anyways, it doesn't really matter now since i figured out how to get the brake arms out individually.

yeah the axials are way easier, just undo the worm screw and slide the whole heel off and the brake should really easily slide out to one side, look on the bottom and there'll be 2 hooks and you just have to slide the whole brake to one side and it will pop out
