i'm graduating gr.12 this june and planning to head out to whistler in october in a van...its gonna be a sick road trip ot there

....newayz i'm from southern ontario i was wondering how many ontario NS'ers are heading out west this coming winter

ps. i'm still looking for someone to drive out with

im in the same boat...graduating gr. 12, from ottawa, moving to bc. although i think im leaving after christmas, and i dont think im going to whistler...im more likely going to a small town in the interior.

I'm in NY and i'm planning on taking off and heading to Jackson hole for the year. I think they have like staff housing and shit.

im thinking of taking time off from school, but the whole losing my parents insurance thing doesnt sound so appealing.. who knows though. if i can get a full time job with like starbucks or somewhere with good benefits besides the olive garden, im outta bellingham.

yea do it man, I took a year off and had the best time of my life. At least until last weekend anyway which has now beaten it but thats another story.

 
cant wait to see you guys at whistler next year. Im gonna be up there both days every weekend for most of the season too.

I'm not out this year, but when I get out two years from now I plan on get a van and going to Whistler and begin studying to be a journalist. Maybe get a job as a liftie to get lift tickets and money.

I've been in school for 3 years now and I'm incredibly tired of it. I want to move up to whistler next winter but have yet to figure out how to afford it.

what i need to do is:

1) work all summer and fall. get money.

2) find somewhere to live, im thinking in golden, bc, from january till early march.

3) find people to ski bum with for two months of the best skiing ever...

wow thats dope, i was at whistler biking yesterday and i was wondering what they were building over there, night skiing is the one thing whistler lacked unless you can somehow count the magic chair (shudder). but anyways back to this post once you take a year off you wont want to go back to school, its a problem im facing im forcing myself to go because i know if i don't i will never go

Man you are all making me wish I took a year off. Oh well, I can always do it after I graduate from college. Besides college has its perks. Class all week, Mammoth weekends in ski/snowboard team house. More parties than I can go to. Life is good.

righ now im in grade 11, but im graduating a semester early next year to head out to whistler for february - august, or possibly from april-august. (and im from southern ontario)
