Ok, in the movies, ive seen pros using pole plants to start spins, and ive also seen them carve off and go straight off the jumps, and im wondering what the difference is? will it make a huge change in my spins if I start carving off or pole planting??

i carve and it helps a little cuz it starts your rotation and allows you to spin a bit more cuz its faster and all but yeah just try and c if it works for you

ok, ill have to give it a shot in like, 7 or 8 months.... :( but yeah, just wondering if carving made corks easier or sumtin

stay low, almost crouching, and when you take off, "pop" and spin. youll get the floating sensation and as you get used to it, you can set a cork.

if you carve and carry your momentum in your pop you should go cork... if you just carve you might just go off the side of the jump. as far as pole planting i really dont kno

pole planting seems to be from the guys with strong racing back grounds and carving is to help cork and make u not have to throw the spin as hard

i find carving without corking makes the spin a lot more smooth

before i started carving 3s they were all flaily and overrotated and then they were smooth and good rotation really helped me
