Just heard its canceled? maybe that is why the web page is gone now?

pretty upset, one of the only comps i was looking forward to this season
 
Just found this out the day before yesterday myself. Sounds like the company we hired to put on this event couldn't secure sponsor money to put it on. Lame!

I was excited to build a sick course. Oh well, sounds like Alpine is going to go it themselves next year and try to make it happen.
 
well i really hope it happens next year, Tahoe has needed a comp like this for a while! hope it happens! would be dope!
 
Ah thats such a bummer, i was really looking forward for this, i wasnt planning on competing but i was really stoked to see all the talent that tahoe has, and of course was looking forward to seeing njohas put together a gnarly course for the comp
 
I was so looking forward to this... it's a shame it couldn't happen. But don't let it stop you from building an awesome course just for the fun of it, Jonahs! The park is sick as is, and I think it could hold its own as a contest course if you just switched up the rails a bit.
 
honestly, i would still pay to do this comp if the prize money was a considerable amount smaller, even if it were for just a pair of skis, or just the title! I have always hoped for an open competition in Tahoe like this, and even more so a slopestlye on HUGE jumps in Tahoe, especially one at Alpine were I knew the jumps would be perfect
 
So they are going to do it as a triple air on Red trail. It's going to be something like a 30-50-70 line. We'll build one more jump above the double line next week. $12,000 prize purse, 6 to skiers, 6 to boarders. 100 dollar entry. Sign up now online to save a spot.
