not a lot of new stuff, but rip me apart in a constructive manner please. the majority of it is a tamrom 17-50, some is kit lens, most of the cars are a 70-200 f4. i know the car shots can get a bit boring, i didn't have a ton of access to great shooting spots, but hey, no excuses. fire away, and thank you.

thanks haha made me feel good. homestar runner 4 lyfe. though out of boredom and curiosity i went on the site a few months back, i think they stopped making videos :(
 
i approve of this, but i still need some critiques lol. on a sidenote, i laugh every time coach z said the chort.
 
well i looked through the pics as well as a little homestarrunner cuz thats classic...but i didn't really care too much for the grill shot, first one you had, seemed plain in my opinion and uninteresting comp. but the racing shots i thought were pretty awesome! i loved the color and clarity on those at the track, by far my faves. then some of the macro shots of the bike were neat ideas but also really boring comp, maybe take those on grass so there is a little bit more to the pic than just black and gray, but overall liked it. my $0.02
 
thanks! i agree on the bike stuff, i was just playing around with my new extension tubes, but taking it to grass would really have colored it up a bit, they're pretty grey.
 
My suggestion (I tell this to a lot of people interested/starting out (not sure how experience you are) but besides the point, your subject has to be interesting. You can take perfectly composed shots with a nice DOF and great colours of a coke can, but its still a coke can. Car shots are awesome cus their well composed, good colours, and its an interesting subject. Don't be afraid to ask around and say "Hey, do you wan't to shoot some portraits or skiing or whatever this weekend?" People are usually down cus they get free shots at the end. That for me was the biggest change I've had, I started out not really knowing how to set shoots up to get the shots I wanted. Hope that helped, I also friended you, mines in my sig.
 
thanks! the advice about finding actually interesting things to shoot is definitely a good idea, come ski season i'll have some more interesting subjects, so soon i'll have some better stuff. friended you back, too.
