Take a second to read this

We all have issues. People that commit suicide have copious amounts them. The story was great and heart touching blahblahblahhblabla /thread

And naive people choose to be naive. The media is not your friend but using your brain may get you far in life. Try using it. I fix probles I might have. and I'm done arguing with 14 year olds who think they know everthing. If you pity people who want to kill themselves to solve their problems I pity you

empathy being the key word there. if u can't imagine somebody seeing no other way out then to take their own life, i pitty you. You lack a lot of empathy if u can't even understand the why. Or maybe u have never had real problems. I'm by no means saying taking your own life is acceptable or a good idea. But i do understand what drives people to do those things. Saying it is a cowards way out is so shortsighted. What if those people never learned how to fix their problems, what if they never learned how to express emotions or how to ask for help.

Thanks copy cat. Probably could have just found that in my private pics but I figured I'd let you do the work ;)

here's a similar story that happened to me (not quite the same). I'll keeps it very short and to the point, nothing quite so inspiring.

About 6 months ago I was walking downtown and happened to run into a friend. I was in a bit of a rush and only got to put in a few words with him before continuing on.

Turns out he had just bought himself a length of rope and was on his way to hang himself. He thought that running into me was a sign from God that he should continue with life and so he didn't kill himself.

It was a very weird feeling to find that out later.

haha did your middle school football coach give you that quote?

meet up wit this guy, you have alot in common

I just wanna toss this out there, it pisses me off so much when people even consider suicide. There are so many other options in life. If you are killing yourself to get away from some external thing, why not just run away? Hitchhike, buy a one way ticket to fucking Jamaica or something. Be a nomad. Or just smoke crack all day or something. There are just so many options in life besides suicide. Because it's your fucking LIFE. Why would you ever want it to end?

It's sad and may make people angry in hindsight, but unless you've been down that road or in that person's shoes, you won't understand why it is as it is.

so·ci·o·path   [soh-see-uh-path, soh-shee-]

noun Psychiatry .

a person, as a psychopathic personality, whose behavior is antisocial and WHO LACKS A SENSE OF MORAL RESPONSIBILITY OR SOCIAL CONSCIENCE

fuck you psycho. why don't u be the one to kill yourself so we don't have to suffer your bullshit anymore.

You are not too intelligent. I would rather kill myself than smoke crack... id rather not die a miserable death from crack and just end my life myself.

or you could just not smoke crack. thats not even a realistic option... and I'm unintelligent? i just got dumber by reading that.

You are extremely stubborn which makes you seem stupid. Do you not realize that you are being disrespectful and that only one person has agreed with you, while the others call you out and you dont even understand that you sound like a complete ass.

i could care less if people say i'm an ass for thinking that suicide is the most cowardly option there is. i don't have sympathy for cowards

You are the coward. you are somehow scared to admit that your cousin meant something to you... i feel bad for you. He was not an attention whore, the people in his life were not supportive enough during a hard time in his life man.. show some respect.

Now now, can't really blame anyone else for his departure. Suicide shows weakness, that much is true, but now matter how down I would be, it would feel too selfish of an act - to leave the sadness and hate behind for your close ones, that's the cowardly thing in the whole issue.

HOLY FUCK DUDE

Why can't you understand that depression, and/or suicide can happen to anyone. It's a chemical imbalance. Doesn't matter if it happens to the most badass motherfucker in the world, because that doesn't make them a "coward". Sure, it's a bad decision, but it's not really their fault, so to say. It's the people and world around them- people not caring, being hurtful, etc. (YOU)

holy shit i actually agree with mike-o on something.

but yes suicide its a humans ultimate weakness, it is caused by depression where you just dont think clearly, at least thats how i looked at it. and yes it is a selfish act and the sadness it leaves behind on parents for example is something that most think about and it really saves their lives. at least it did for me

People like you piss me off. You're the same kind of person that says alcoholism is a medical disorder. The world is full of pussies.

Now I'm going to get slammed and all these people are going to pull out statistics and technical jargon about chemical imbalances and shit.

But they're all still pussies.

Now, now. I know it's easy to say a suicide is a "coward's" way out (it basically is) but it's not entirely about cowardice or strength. When your brain gives out on you, that can be the end to even the strongest people you know.

Suicide is also a cultural phenomenon. Right now Fukushima is experiencing and expecting record suicides from people who made their livelihood from the irradiated area. These are normal, hard-working folks who have lost basically everything and deem it better to end it all. Their families believe that it was their personal choice and will stay strong to not see their loved ones' departure go to waste.

i have to leave this thread, theres just way to many ignorant assholes. if you have never experienced something like that you have no right to pass judgement. suicide is cowardly in some ways, but its more sad than anything else. imagine sitting in your room and literally spending hours every day trying to figure out ways to improve your life, but none of it seems like it will work because your brain is physically unable to give you hope. and i'll say it again, it really can happen to anyone.

show some respect for those going through dark times and need support, not judgement. hold whatever opinion you want, but hearing those kinds of things can make people feel even worse and you should be conscience of that.
