Tail clips

I have about three days on a pair of black diamond skins and the rivets on the tail clip failed on one of them already. Does anyone know if I can get a replacement? Is it really all that necessary?

Yes and yes. They do matter and you can get replacements for about $16. Call BD and they will more than likely send them no worries.

I just replaced mine, backcountry.com has replacements for 25 or so. Pretty easy to do and I'm not the most handy of people

Like everybody said, you can get the full tailclip set from BD. It's called the 'STS kit' and retails for 15-25. I just bought one for $20 from a shop in Steamboat because my elastic tailpiece ripped.
