Tail butters hurting = too large of boots?

Hello, backseat riding (tailbutters included) will put tons of strain on your shins, and the musculature around them, leading to shin bang.

Dry land exercise is the only way i’ve found to alleviate the pain of a tail butter. Full tilts allowed me to nose butter no problem but tail butter was a little more tricky to figure out the boot pain issue.

I hate to be that guy but it’s mostly the way you do it, i was the same way for a while but i started using more of my core to be doing the butter

I know it sounds vague at first but if you take a look at anyone on the bunch they all have a good body shape which i personally credit to all the butters they do

A stiff ski with camber will hurt a lot more to tail butter than something soft and rockered.

I got nomad 95s 191 / Vishnu wide 189 on the way. Wondering which will be easier…. Possibly the wides and sell the nomads? Idk mayne

Put something soft behind yours calves like sponges mittens or whatever you found and you’ll be good

Soft ski helps too

having a nice snug boot helped me tons. I hike a lot before the season and work on my leg muscles which is always gonna help.

Idk I’ve had zero pain tail pressing wet +. Never ridden Icelantics so I can’t offer a fair comparison.

pretty sure its not the boots they just hurt. when i first learned them i did them all weekend and my shins were beyond fucked for a week or so

I have a similar issue; Trying to get stronger this summer (tibias anterior, glutes, hamstrings), gonna try a boot fitter again when I can (I'm ready; toenail just fell off!). Hoping to get good tail butters this season. In the past it hurt bad enough that I couldn't force myself to practice it more than a few times a day.
