I am very sorry that this happened. You are living my worst nightmare, and you seem to be handeling it alot better than i ever would be, and just from the impression of you that i have from this site and the people who have posted in this thread who have talked to you I have a feeling that you will pull through and make the most out of your situation. I wish you the best of luck on your road to recovery and hope that there are no complication.

dont let the doctor tell you you wont be able to ski again, i feel so bad for you, but you should see some specialists and im sure witht he right rehab thta one day you could ski, but just keep hope! best of luck

she sounds about as good as someone in her position can. quite positive. she has surgery on thursday. as sarah said she appreciates all the support from her friends and people she doesn't know on here. the doctor (same as lars veen) has told her she can never ski again, if she does she may paralyze herself permanently. hopefully he is wrong there.

Oh my. From the sounds of it she better take at least a couple years off skiing.

If it makes Courtney feel better, i have also overshot a table and landed on my lower back on flats. My back doesnt feel that same. I learned my lesson, which is to never hit a table u have never seen without skiing alongside someone to see the speed they hit it or to watch someone else hit it from above. :) and i'm talking about bigger tables here.

If u need anything from me just ask.

yo man a spinal cord injury is ALOT DIFFERENT than a head trauma injury, it'll take ALOT longer for her to recover

^^^spinal cord injury can cause brain damage almost more severe than what your friend got i bet and no chance will she be skiing this season with how severe it sounds
