THAT JUMP WAS SO GODDAM GAY. AS SOMEONE SAID, IT HAD MORE CASES THAN A LIQUER STORE. I CASED THAT SHIT EARLY AND JUST CALLED IT A DAY. the snow was soooo bloody slow last saturday... i think patrol was spending a little more time than usual at the bottom of that jump...

you missed the part where it said she couldnt walk again, what about the rest where it said She broke her godam back? Bad things do happen, but you dont have to be apathetic.

so here is the rest of the story:

courtney said she overshot the jump to her back at broke it.

after that they took her to the ICU at st. mary's hospital in reno. although the spine didnt rupture her spinal cord it is less than a centimeter away from doing so. she gets surgery on thursday in which they will remove her extra rib (all girls have 2 extra ribs) and use that bone to help rebuild her spine.

the docs have told her that she will not be able to ski for the rest of her life, ever. i'm sure she would love the support so if any of you feel like calling her and wishing her the best she is at St. Mary's hospital in reno, nevada room #475

wow that's horrible, I can't believe I ever complained about anything. Best of luck to her, but here's something positive, a good friend of my brother's had almost the same injury, they took bone from his hip to reconstruct the vertebrae and replaced the hip bone with cow bone. The doctor told him he may not be able to walk, but he's back skiing now. Hopefully it'll turn out for her.

I just called her a half-hour ago. Her T12's broken. She's not allowed to ever ski again, but she'll walk eventually. She said she can feel her legs.

Bill, she seemed really appreciative that you made this thread and whatnot. It obviously made her happy that NS was supporting her and thinking about her. Thanks for making the thread and informing us.
