Tahoe this week

Ok, so I am in tahoe Monday-Wednesday. We are staying at Heavenly, so we will do one day at least at heavenly. The other places that are within an hour or so are Alpine meadows, Northstar, and Squaw. Which ones do you guys recommend? it is me and my dad, so we will be skiing everything

Northstar or Sierra at Tahoe. I'd probably do squaw and northstar the other two days if I could. Or maybe squaw alpine because they might do some sort of package deal

dude if you are staying in south lake you can definitely hit up Kirkwood. That'll be real sick especially if it snows.

Heavenly is so unbelievably meh! Keep your mouth shut if any patrolers stop you for whatever reason they see fit. Also keep the switch riding to a min outside the park. I seem to get pulled more than any other resort at Heavenly. I feel I spend more time on a lift that on my whips there.. Short runs, long lifts, TheNorthFace bay area fuckers and moody ass patrollers.

Sierra is the shit. Quality mountain all round. Some solid fun 'full of everything' runs there.

NorthStar, only go if you plan on riding park all day. Other than that, pretty flat. Watch your switch shit again. A little less moody than Heavenly but still up there with moody shits.

I feel pretty strongly about how you get treated as a supposedly "guest" on mountain and how you should be treated and where I spend my cash riding. Sure you'll enjoy where ever you go. Fingers crossed for snow.

Id skip heavenly and go to kirkwood instead. Then head up to squaw and alpine and spend a day at each. Looks like a little storm is heading in Sunday. Not calling for much, but Kirkwood will likely get the most. If you have to ski heavenly, save it for tue or wed... Looks like some more snow later in the week, so I'd convince your dad to extend things if it starts to look good.

Maybe if you're riding lower elevation sierra. It's pretty fuckin awesome in the mornings.

Kirkwood has the best terrain in tahoe. (Squaw and alpine probably have as good or better but crowds ruin everything)

The soft snow is amazing while skiing park. It's spring skiing for a few days! Enjoy it until we get puked on.

dont even bother skiing at heavenly unless you like ice and horrible jumps. Northstar is getting revamped for the northface contest in the next few days but the jump line should be open early this coming week. Northstar park is fun, if your dad doesnt like to flat go to squaw or alpine.

well if you look at it that there is new snow, its pretty good spring style conditions with the warm heat! but if your looking to do harder stuff and better park dont come here haha

HAHA i was there last weekend. Those were the worst jumps i have ever seen. And whats with that places lift lines. Its hard to ride the lift with your friends if you have more then 2 people. I hate Rose. Decent view but that place can disappear from Tahoe for all i care.

ok so the consensus is one day at northstar, and i believe we have to do one at heavenly. this is my first trip out west so i think anywhere will impress me. you guys recommend kirkwood for the last day? or squaw

Mt rose has best snow. Heavenly. Northstar and alpine both have sick parks right now. Squaws park is good but lack of snow

I wouldn't come to the west coast and not visit squaw if you haven't been before.

I really think Kirkwood is really only that good when there's snow.

Northstar has the funnest park I've skied. Not much else but it's a nice place. I'd hit squaw if you can. Overall, just enjoy Tahoe to its fullest. Watch a few sunsets on the lake. It's some good shit. Definitely gonna find my way out there after school.
