Damn you guys are lucky. Just did 5 days at Squaw, and while it may not be quite as massive as Mammoth, the amount of gnarley skiable terrain that is easily accessible from the lifts is just mind boggling. I think I might have to switch my annual Mammoth trip to Squaw. Helps a ton that I was staying in a sick hotel on the slopes for like $120 a night (compared to like $500 a night at Mammoth), and if I got bored Alpine Meadows was about 5 minutes away.
Haven't been in a situation in a long while where I had to actually stop and peer over an edge thinking "is that skiable?" from something I accessed directly from a lift. And thats early season too. Would love to go back in March and seriously scare myself.

Less than half of the mountain must have been open while you were there too. No Granite, Silverado, Siberia, Broken Arrow... Did you even get to ride Headwall? You'll definitely love it in full swing.

Squaw dominates mammoth in my opinion...
I mean, Mammoth does have a sick park, it is big, and they do have sick SICK terrain, dont get me wrong, i think it's fucking amazing...
But Squaw/Alpine Meadows rivals places like Jackson, Alta, and Snowbird any day of the week... Mammoth isn't quite on that level IMO.
