this is for anyone who skis tahoe.

I'm headin down there in 2 weeks time and my rents wanna know if there are any lift ticket deals to be found. 20% off and stuff like that or 2 for 1.

also would anyone be interested to ski with my friend and i?

if you work at a board and or ski shop. Bring a pay stub and you can get a big discount. Not sure about the rents though. There are always ways to find discount tickets. Just start searchin on the internet, unless you know someone that knows someone that can get you some comp tickets.

it could, if you have some way to prove that you're on the pay roll. Some places are sheisty about giving discount tickets to shop employees, though. Squaw didn't hook it up when I went there. I would try and search wherever possible, and if you get to wherever you're going a couple hours after they're open, look for people leaving the park early that have bought "all day" passes, and simply ask them if you can clip them off, for free, or if not, offer to pay half of what they paid. FIND A WAY! FUCK $60+ lift tikets!!!

bring 12 packs to the lift crew locker rooms. we did it at squaw, northstar and sierra last year and it worked every time. we got 5 lift tickets each day for 5 12 packs of PBR. also if u work at a mountain, you should be able to get letterheads from mountain ops saying you work there which should be good for 50% off. thats how they roll at mammoth anyways.

got a college ID? homewood tickets drop from 47 to 15...but theres better skiing in tahoe so go to alpine or squaw

You can always clip tickets too. At Squaw people seem to leave the hill at like 11:00. I was just looking for the same thing though since I'm heading down for spring break. Northstar use to have a college discount for March but they aren't doing it anymore...fuckers. Alpine is still by far the cheapest with $44 tickets. I think that's where I'm going to be spending most my time.

buy a quad (quarter) and put it in dub sacs, then just hit up the funi operator at sqauw with one, and ski the top all day. same will work at northstar

also, what have the conditions been like lately, what are they like now, and what are they supposed to be like. any suggestions of where not to go, where has no lift lines, who's got the sickest powder or park, best overall?

but get one free at boreal for all tickets(not night). Squaws tickets get cheaper when you buy them for more then one day. 5 dollars of Homewood passes when skiing consecutive days.

Then if you work at a hill bring some letter heads, they are good for a big discount(around 50%) at every mountain.

poach. or just hike up past the gondola at northstar and they don't check tickets. and that is where the park is. i'll ski with you for sure at alpine boreal or northstar. boreal has a super fun park right now and usually no lift lines and would be easy to poach all day.

at boreal you can get this thing called an iride card which basicaly on your 3rd day their its free

its pretty nifty since the tickets are only like 39 unlike fucking northstar

ok awesome, what mtn's do you suggest i rotate around to, i'm skiing for 6 full days i think, so idk if i will be skiing multiple days at one hill. thanks a lot for the info!

thx a lot. i'm leavin tomorrow morning at 4 am so i'm stoked.

if anyone sees me feel free to holla. I'll be wearing a grey coat (with little buildings on it) and black pants. surface watch life's. my friend that's skiing with me has a red coat, surface watch life's too. hope to see some newschoolers out there!

are you going for nationals? They lowered the ticket prices. Its 6-days for $250 instead of 3-days.
