Tahoe area housing and job suggestions

A buddy and myself both graduated college this spring and are planning on heading west for the winter. Tahoe seems to be where we want to go, and we've applied to work at kirkwood, squaw, and heavenly so far. That said, we can't really commit to anything until we find housing, so I wanted to come here and see if anyone could fill us in on cheap apartments near the mountains I mentioned? Best case scenario would be some kind of monthly lease, because I know i will only be out for about 4 months.

We would also be down to go in on a place with some other shredders, so hit me up if you're looking in the same area.

Also, if anyone could recommend part-time jobs (on or off the mountain) in the area, that would be dope.

Work for Diamond Peak..tons of city benefits or go over and do the whole vail town job..plenty of housing on craigslist so just find a close one!

I am currently looking for a place with my buddy in the Truckee/Donner Lake area. I coach at Sugar Bowl. Shits expensive unless there's 4-5 people to split the rent.

we're moving out in november, and have a place to crash until we find housing. Should be a lot easier to find once we're out there. Meyers seems like it would be ideal.

I used to coach at Sugar Bowl. Is there still employee housing over by i-80? i think that's pretty cheap, but it's also gnarly gross. Other than that, there's cheap housing on the West side of Donner Lake at like the base of Old 40 across from the marina/park. But again, i think it's pretty gnarly. Try looking towards Soda Springs/ Ice Lakes...if you can find like 4-5 other roommates the condos/cabins shouldn't be suuuper expensive in that area.

just wanted to say that we both got hired at kirkwood and are looking for a place to stay in south lake, or ideally in meyers.

does anyone know of any hotels that offer monthly rates in South Lake? i noticed a bunch when i was up there last summer, but when i was there in July i didnt see any advertising it. Ive been calling all over and no one has monthly rates.
