T2I WTF

I was recording video with my t2I today. It wasn't hot outside, mid to upper 60's and I recorded video for about an hour or so. Towards the end of recording I got the overheat signal and shut off the camera and took out the battery. 30 minutes later I put the battery back in and the camera turned on so I thought it was ok. I then took the battery out to charge and left it for an hour or so. Now my camera won't even turn on. Any chance that my camera isn't totally fucked or fixable? I just got this camera a few months ago and its concerning that I was only able to shoot 25 minutes of video over an hour and 10 minute period until the thing started to over heat.

I will leave the camera bee and try and turn it on later tonight.

hm, i've never had my t2i overheat and i've filmed for over two hours (splitting clips every 12 minutes). The best way to prevent overheating is to swap out batteries every 30 minutes or so. My guess is the camera is fine, but I'd make sure the batteries fully charged. If that doesn't work try plugging it into your computer and opening up Canon EOS utility

Yeah its kind of strange but I have heard ML can lead to over heating quicker. I shut the camera off every for like 5 6 minute brakes through out my clips. Maybe the sunlight was enough to do it? Im not sure but I have shot for longer periods and never experienced this. I will look into getting a new battery so I can swap them out to cut down on over heating. Thanks for the advice.

I made this thread in media in arts where this was meant to be posted. So post on that one if you have some advice.
