so i just need some answers here because my friends have been asking me how to keep the camera safe from snow blowing and getting the cam wet. so how do you do it? i thought about maybe just putting a towel or something over the camera, maybe a lense hood? all helpful answers are appreciated
 
Polarized filters are expensive, buy a cheap UV to screw over that and protect the polarizer.
 
what the hell are you talking about? yeah i mean that will help, but it wouldnt help weatherize it. but OP, the t2i is a tank. dont take my word and dip it in water, but its pretty weather resistant. been with it snowing, it was fine. hell, i was 5 feet away from Niagara falls and it was soaked and still was fine.
 
L series glass is weatherproof

UV's are a nice insurance for lens elements.

As long as you're not stupid, the cam will hold up fine
 
All L series glass is weatherproof I think. The only one I would think aren't weatherproof is the 24-70 and 24-105 b/c of the external zooming. But no water gets in at the mount and if you have a filter on you're set
 
well yeah. It's not like you can dip it in a tub of water haha. But it will not be affected by some snow getting on it
 
what are you talking about, fuck protecting the body, the glass is more fragile and valuable. it is retarded to not protect the one glass element exposed to the outside world
