Switch ups are cool, and when they're clean and flowy, they look dope and represent a good example of a skiers tech ability (in terms edge control and jibbing) and style.
BUT, for whatever reason, a skier's ability to hop around on rails and boxes has become the #1 barometer for whether he's good or not. Thank god for a new movement towards creativity and style over "how many switch ups can I do".
