malcom + almostaskier's are my favorite so far

malcom - like goggles on the light yellow shirt but dont like ns on the shoulders

almostaskier - like the tip + tailgrab dude the best

It would be really sweet if you were allowed to use 3 colours instead of 2. There are a couple decent 2 colour ones, but quite a few sweet 3 colour ones. Everything else should be deleted though.
 
god damn im pumped to find some free time and get my entry in...some of these are whack, couple good ones tho
 
Question: can the shirt be any color (in addition to two printed colors)? Also, do all shades of grey count as one color?
 
only if the shades of grey are created with a halftone pattern or some sort of dot pattern. There's a chance that the printer will do it but then again maybe not.

I totally agree. I would say more than 90% of these designs suck ass. Either they are incredibly cliche, or they completely lack any sort of composition or color corrdination. You kids really need to come up with new ideas, as well as consider how the desgin looks when one wears the shirt to create your composition. You should also familiarize yourself with screen printing because most of these could not be created anyways.

Your right dude...Im sorry. That was uncalled for. I should just keep my opinions to myself, or at least put them in nicer words.

I am serious about the fact that most of these T shirts could not be made using conventional screen printing. Screen printing creates a completely solid print and can not do gradients. To create that effect you have to use half tones.(that is of course if they are to be screen printed which most quality t-shirts are).

I dont see how my post count has any relevence to the subject. I actually have been a member longer than you.

I dont feel that you were harsh at all, and i actually thank you for calling me out on being a dick. I guess i have just grown kind of numb to harsh critisisms. At my school if a teacher doesn't like your desgin they will say so, and they will actually be rather nasty.

...And yes i do realize that i am pretentious, but i feel i can back up my words. Ill try to get up some of my designs and if you guys dont like them feel free to let loose.
 
oh...and "earn or respect?" That sounds awfully pretentious to me. What makes you think you are worthy of MY respect? I don't necessarily have to respect you. Who are you? Do you have some sort of authority over me that i am unaware of? I obviously don't respect a fair amount of these designs(thats not to say i don't respect all of these designs. In fact there are several that i think are really well done! Those people should be very proud of their designs.)

The definition of pretentious according to dictionary.com is: making claim to or creating an appearance of (often undeserved)

importance or distinction; "a pretentious country house"; "a

pretentious fraud"; "a pretentious scholarly edition"

The modifier there is "often" meaning in most, but not all cases the appearance of importance is undeserved. I am aware of my design background, and i feel i have a natural eye for good design and composition. What is your background like?
