it is true that they don't have to work as hard as other companies to get big, but its not a bad thing. i think they're backed by BMW, hence why all the athletes get Minis. But it definately isn't a bad thing for the sport, allowing top level athletes like TJ to live comfortably and train hard as completely professional athletes, but they're also giving up and coming athletes like Kenworthy a chance to become a top level athlete with a backing that no other company is likely to offer.
It may not be such a great thing for small companies like Moment, but they're always going to have the cult-like following and support from NSers that will allow them to at least continue making sick skis without losing money.
IMO its a pretty sweet money injection into the sport, and CoreUPT shouldn't just be thrown aside just because they have the great financial backing that allows them so start off as a large, competitive company in the market
