it is true that they don't have to work as hard as other companies to get big, but its not a bad thing. i think they're backed by BMW, hence why all the athletes get Minis. But it definately isn't a bad thing for the sport, allowing top level athletes like TJ to live comfortably and train hard as completely professional athletes, but they're also giving up and coming athletes like Kenworthy a chance to become a top level athlete with a backing that no other company is likely to offer.

It may not be such a great thing for small companies like Moment, but they're always going to have the cult-like following and support from NSers that will allow them to at least continue making sick skis without losing money.

IMO its a pretty sweet money injection into the sport, and CoreUPT shouldn't just be thrown aside just because they have the great financial backing that allows them so start off as a large, competitive company in the market
 
its basically a new, super funded Armada type company. the riders have their own ski that they design and decide how it is going to be constructed. agreed i wouldn't buy it 1st year, but if its quality stuff then it'll be a pretty sick new company. should have a huge range by the time their teams finished

I wouldnt say I hate the idea.

But at the same time, whats the point? Does quicksilver want to hang on to a branded ski when they sell rossi/look/etc?
 
i havent really looked at their site or anything ,, it just doesnt interest me

theres just so many ski companies these days it seems
