so im looking for a new ski for next year im most likely going to buy a 09/10 ski to save money i was looking at the armada t-hall in171 or the ninthward henrick harlaut pro in 172. i am 5'8ish and weight about 130lb i have been skiing on 161 vokl walls for the past few years now and they've became to short for me and too stiff i was wondering which ski would be best for me and if anyone has skiied on the harlaut pro this year

i have the 08/09 thalls in 181 and they are amazingly fun skis, not the most durable skis i have had, but definitely the most fun. really soft noses that get softer and softer as you ride and butter more, nice poppy tails that are still pretty soft, and really nice bases.

that being said, my topsheets are peeling like a motherfucker after 1 season of use, first day of the season i split one of the tips on some hard snow/ice, and the noses are starting to rocker. still amazingly fun skis though, i will ski them until they cant be skied anymore

yer i heard that it was a fun ski, im just not sure if its going to be too soft, after riding such a stiff ski. also is 171 going to be the right size for my i ride mainly park bout 70% jumps 30% rails and a little bit of piste here and there

i am 6'0 and i ride 181's, and if youre still growing i would go 176's, theyre going to ride shorter if you centermount them as well

not going to lie, probably the most helpful post on this thread, you should get the hhps based off this and this alone...

If you are trying to save money T-Halls are not the ski to choose, even if they are a year old. Same with the 9ths, but I would go with those.

ok well i have currently own the hhp's and ar6's(i know that they are not exactly the same) but i did notice on my ar6's immediate large amounts of top sheet chipping and soon later a edge crack and now after only a year they are basically ready for summer skiing and backyard stuff. They don’t seem to hold up nearly as well as most other skis. But that is just what i have experienced

haha sorry i just couldnt resist. i agree though, unless they havent for next year, armada really needs to step up their topsheet game. mine was pulling off by the foot almost (not quite a foot, little bit of an exaggeration)

i have the 08/09 HHP's and id give them a 7/10. they're pretty durable (after an entire season of nonstop rails i only had 2 tiny edge cracks, and very minor chipping), and can be skied around the mountain and in pow, (went to italy and skied nothing but groomers and pow and these were held their own), the only thing i didnt like was they didnt do amazing at anything, i just found them to be an average ski. But they were a good deal for 250$. hope this helps.

a bit stiffer than what i saw with the ar6(but its differnt then the t-hall) the ar6's did soffen up the more i used them. but still very playfull.

you can pick up brand new t-halls from last season or the season before for dirt cheap....
been considering them myself, but as long as my park skis hold up, i rather save my money to buy me jesters and alpine trekkers for my EP pro :)
