His attitude towards people is what causes everyone to have their issues with him. In every interview it seems like he's got a chip on his shoulder, and feels he needs to prove to everyone that he is better than everyone at every aspect of skiing. Granted, if he put his mind to each aspect for a while, he would learn it, and fast too. Tanner is the best competition skiier. His movie segments are usually one of, if not the best, most innovative, segments of the year. His willingness, and ability to learn tricks and new diciplines, like Bigger lines, more BC kicker variations, is what truely sets him apart from every other skiier. And you can't say anything about his carreer without realizing that his first major, carreer altering injury happed this year. How long has he been the biggest name in the newschool scene? blahblahblah I could go on further, but it's pointless.

The problem with Tanner is his attitude, and when someone says something negative about his sport, he gets very defensive, and ends up calling the person out. With him being the most recognizable person in our sport, what does everyone see? It makes us seem like a bunch of punks, with no respect for anyone. I don't like that.

I have a ton of respect for Tanner's skiing, but I've learned to block his reactions to judging, his interviews, and pretty much everything else outside of his skiing out. Tanner's the man when his goggles are on, and he's showing the world what is possible, but as soon as he opens his mouth, I ignore him.

 
i dont recall any of this if you are talking about the bode miiller thing it true anyone of us could race down a hill and make turns right put that dude in a park and watch him die and in pipe

 
tanner couldnt rip like bode can ona course, and bode cant rip in the park like tanner, its almost like comparng hockey with speed skating, or road biking with bmx, theres no comparison, the sports are totally different, tanners a dick...look at him, an ex gymnist, if he couldnt ski he would be a funking loser

first off bode miller can do sick cork 7s and maybe even 9s ive seen the 7s and second i totally agree that tanner puts a negative picture of the ski community to the public

 
^In a way, Tanner's right, because Bode Miller isn't the only ski racer in the world. He's, if you're right, one of the few who can do any tricks.

 
^ your lying. when did you see bode miller in the terrain park throwing cork 7's.... dont lie you fucking guy. I have heard that he can do an okay 7 but not a sweet cork 7 maybe even 9 and you didnt see him do one either. I dont respect t-hall and I dont respect bode

cork 7s are 7 years old and everbody can do it but i doubt b miller can also tanner was saying look how much money these douche bags make own pro models and they are in the least entertaining field of skiing i dont know about you but watching ski raceing is pretty damn gay

 
tanner never claimed to do aswell as bode on a race coursse, he said that if he was put on a course he could make it down no prob, but when body is put in a terrain park he just looks like an idiot.

tanner is not a gymnast, he comes from an extremly compeditive mogul backround. He is an excelent skier from that training. If you are gonna make fun of someone for bein a gymnast make fun of dumont, who is one of the sickest skiers out there
