T Hall Pro or CR lab?

I really dont know which one to choose... i know alot about the T hall but what are the specs on the CR? I could get them both for pretty cheap... o ya and sorry for not posting in equipmenthere it gets alot more views

T hall: park ski, butters

CR Lab: super tough ski, won't delaminate like other Salomons will. Most of the Team riders use this ski.

 
if you plan on skiing anything outside of the park and urban shit, dont get the thalls

thing is... i can get the T halls for like 550$ but i can get the CR's for 400$

I think that the thalls wouldnt be too bad actually in powder. Its more like the crud and groomers thay wouldnt be the best in.

 
i also ski pretty much all park... but for the price i dunno what to choose its a hard choice... im also pretty much broke

ok, heres the thing about the thalls, the edges are rounded underfoot, and boys and girls what does that mean? thats right, unless you prety much live in the park, and when i say live, i mean never set a board on groomers, if you get them you are screwed out side the park, ive ridden on them and as soon as you hit ice and try to carve, your fucked because theres no edge there. i was going to get them but decide on the ar5s for that reason alone, go with the crs, im a big fan of armada and dont like solomon that much but in this case you got to think about everything. get the crs, they are a better ski for skiing the thalls are a rail ski and nothing else.

yeah, well so do i but, i have to go down some groomer to get there, and occsionalt i ski with other folkes out of the park, if you want to do that with the thalls you cant because the ski wont let you

yeah, CRs. the solomon pro models actually look nice. but the thall is basiclly a rail ski. even though its ment for park, something like that (soft flex with round edges) can get scetchy on jumps. plus the CR is a great pipe ski.

Any skis will get rounded once you grind rails. So in 2 days the crs will be exactly like the thalls as far as edge characteristics go. The crs are a little soft for ice.

you people are stupid! YOu say that the thalls suck outside the park because of the rounded edges...well i hate to break it to you but the second that you hit a rail on the cr's the edges will be dull to...meaning what boys and girls...THEY WILL be the same as the tanners. that dulled edge from the factory is less damaging then 1 day on rails.

how can you compare the two skis? they're entirely different! the t-hall pros are noodles that won't perform anywhere outside of the park while the 1080 labs are a lot stiffer for all mountain riding and still have an edge under foot. the only downside of dealing with the 1080 LAB is that salomon still used cap construction so it's not as strong and durable as sidewall!

i have the 1080s and they havent delamed and there arent any problems with them, plus the CR is pretty sick in the pipe...i havent riden the thalls, but im just saying, i love my salomons



...



 
fuck edges, my edges are detuned from rails probably more than the thall pros and i still dont have trouble skiing ice in fucking connecticut, edges are for west coast pussys who have never skied ice, real east coasters charge ice with no edges at all

yeah, but the rounded edge on the thalls is almost over done, because its done by the factory! the labs will detune a bit, but not nearly as much as the thalls already are. go with the labs!

THE THALLS are all HYPE, everyone recommends them, because they think Tanner is gonna shake their hand or something, you don't have fun in the LIFTLINE, so who cares what other people are looking at, get the better ski- I have the CR's and wouldn't go back and buy something else

the t-halls have factory detuned edges, which may seem nice, but if you want to ski anything other than the park its gonna suck. the cr johnsons are a pipe specific ski, so its kinda a waste to get those and trash them on rails. i know some kid who got the prototypes and he got going so fast on them. if you want to ski pipe, those r gonna get u goin faster than a race ski and ur gonna boost, but chancs r that u ski more than pipe. if anything, get the candides. they are a good median of the other two. getboards.com has them.

dud its a LAB ski, they are all hand made and have wood cores, i mean come on, honestly do you realy think that somone like cr or simon ski a non wood core ski, a ski with a foam core, and not destryoy it in a day! come on ! think about it, thats te only thing that makes the slabs differ, that and the neato top sheet degsin!

They have a higher density foam core I'm staring at them in my room. Look it up; oh yeah Cr dim=113/79/106 and the 1080 dim=114-80-108

the thalls are fine outside the park. Unless you have skied on them you have no idea what youre talking about. But the jp's are actually lighter than the tanners.
