T hall park or mountain?

In light of T Halls recent speech at the World Superpipe Comp. i began to ask myself "hey self... Tanner Hall, isn't he the guy that (with the help of a few others) has basically revolutionized freeskiing since the begining?" I mean this is the guy that has consitently progressed the sport for years in the park and now he is "getting back to his Viking Roots?"

Isn't this the same guy that took pipe to the next level with a switch drop in? Has Hall smoked himself retarded or is the sport really taken a turn toward the "Vikings from thousands of years ago". And if so, what does this mean for us East Coasters or people who cant afford to have a heli take them to Chilli or Switzerland every weekend? Personally T's game in the pow is sick BUT i think he is Borderline retarded. discuss it amongst yourselves

well I agree with tanner on this one, but you do have a point in the fact that on the east coast there isn't much BC at all. But if skiing is going to go toward sliding on metal instead of sliding on snow, I think people need to seriously re-think the sport.
 
tanner was deffinetly not first person to drop in a pipe switch. i don't who exactly but my guess would be andreas hatveit
 
ye andreas was definatly the first, the only reason that tanner is hating on park so much now is coz since he totaly fucked his anckles he cant ride kikers that much now if he wants to be able to walk once hes finished skiing. and he wants to hype line skiing as much as he can so that he will stay a big name in the sport. from wat ive seen of him he can ski lines but hes not acttualy got any tecnique, when u see him skiing trees with seth in show and prove he just looks like a wannabe gansta park rat. fair enough him going into differnt areas of the sport if he cant ride park now but hes being a totaly cock bout it. in a recent interview with a british freeski mag he was saying that he wants to "be one with the mountain" but i can hardly see how getting a heli to the top of a peak he problay dusnt know the name of and then just riding down it is being one with it, if he was climbing or skining to the top of the same thing i could see where he was coming from. but hes not. rant over.
 
what does it have to do with you personally?

Because tanner wants to be a viking and discover Canada and ski it. you cant ski on the east coast anymore?

Dude Tanner was heading in the bc direction before he broke his ankles, and he still slays rails and pipe....have you seen Believe yet? He throws down some pretty gnar lines in that movie Whatever, when he was a kid winning every park and slope contest, people gave him shit for not being a legit big mtn skier, now they give him shit just because he's taking it to the bc and doesn't compete in slope anymore. Haters galore in this sport, stfu.
