T-Hall or T-Wall?

how can you compare two totally different people that have nothing in common other than their name sounding alike and that they ski?
 
I'm just saying that it doesn't seem like T-Hall is coming up with anything new lately. I wasn't impressed with "Believe". I did like the jump at the end though.
 
yo if t-hall put all his effort into his park skiing and rails and all that he would be head and shoulders above everyone else including t-wall... the fact is he killed park like 3 years ago and won everything and still wins x-games golds but he had moved on to other parts of being a freeskier and could kill anyone if u look at their all around skiing ability.
 
I mean I liked it but they should have put some jumps in it or something. I just feel like there's only so much you can do in backcountry. T-Wall still has my vote.
 
that side of the sport is growing and nowadays sponsors are looking for kids who can do both especially ski companies

style or ability

style : TWALL

ability: THALL

tanner is simply a better skier on rails, jumps, the pipe and BC.

when did t-Wall last win X games pipe? or slope?

when did t-Wall last do a Kangaroo flip?

how many years has t-Hall consistently had awesome segments?

wallisch may have more tech rail/urban abilties but strictly as a skier, tanner blows tom out of the water. as an innovator, tanner blows tom out of the water. without tanner hall, skiing would be nothing today. without wallisch, we wouldnt have stupid ass threads like this.

the next time wallisch puts out several of his own movies with everybody from seth morrison to the pettit brothers to chris biollo and owns a canadian ski resort let me know. tanner accomplished all that and revolutionized a sport and is directly influencing the direction of where its going, all by the age of like 26

wallisch you have my respect though
 
that's embarassing to our sport.. the fact that you can watch believe and say the only legitamate thing in that movie is the jump session at the end? there is so much more that can be done in the backcountry and tanner is one of the few people pushing our sport in that direction.. put in a snowboard movie like optimistic? and watch anything in there and try to tell me that there isn't anything for skiers left to do in the backcountry.. yeah wallisch is dope as hell in the park and I have so much respect for what he's doing on rails, but tanner is on a whole other level..

yea, but it was a different time. sure, wallisch is good and all, but tanner hall is still on his own level. he's like michael motherfucking jordan of skiing
 
shut up, fuck the x games, fuck kangafuckinrooflips. both have gotten rediculous. but yeah, t hall has more abiility, btu also, "twall" is way younger. so... but serously fuck kangaroo flips.
 
its so funny how fast tom blew up though. just two seasons ago he was riding little hills in maryland and pennsylvania and i skied with him a good bit, now everyone knows who he is. hes definitely making a name for himself.

i agree that he is a very very talented skier, way better than i will ever even dream of being, but you still cant compare that to what tanner hall has done. maybe give tom a few years, then we will see.
 
lets be honest here, you guys are saying that thall is better cause he wins the xgames and what not. give tom one year. he JUST blew up last season. he went from a no one to the JOI in just a few months. i think he will surprise us all.

but tanner is in an entire different league. he made skiing what it is today..
 
Wow Debby Downer right here. Watch Toms promo from 05/06 then watch his bonus in Realtime from 06/07. That my friend is progression. Tom kills it, probably won't be what Tanner is in pipe. But urbans and park oh for sure.
 
Wallish is the best at what he does, Hall is good at what he does. Seth is the best at what he does. The next big this is more up to you than up to them.

But I prefere watching Wallish, his skillz are mad sick and original.
 
Tanner has been at a crazy high level for so long, and has been setting a standered for the sport for many years.
 
How the FUCK can u even compare.Tanner is a real skier,a star,a pioneer,a role model.

every single kid that has said t-wall is a fucking bandwagon gaper. 100% gauranteed. thats like saying troy tulo is a better shortstop than cal ripken jr because he had a sick rookie season. idiots. that said, wallisch is a sick fuck and so is troy tulowitzki, but they both have to put in mad work to be up to THAT status.

all i know is that if EVERYONE in this thread said t-wall over t-hall, hall wouldnt care. and if EVERYONE said t-hall over t-wall, wallisch wouldnt trip either. so end this bullshit.
 
Tanner rules the roost right now. Watch his new film Believe and you will see he has taken his game to another level by becoming one of the most well rounded skiers in the world. I would put him #1 on the list right now.

Plus he shot alot of that film oin the 3 weeks prior to the X-Games last winter. He then just stopped by in Aspen and won GOLD. Not bad when everyone else is gaming in the pipe in the months prior to that competition.
 
T-hall will always be known he was one of the first and the best known and has a fuckin sick style no matter what anyone says and will kick anyones ass in the pipe with the switch 10 and switch ally oop 9. noone can touch that right now but T-wall is the king of rails and probley always will be but i don't think he will touch the accomplishments that t hall has made over the years
 
This is basically my thoughts. You guys will be suprised on what Tom has learned this past summer.

And for Tanner...Believe was so epic...Instant boner, every shot. Props to him.
 
is anyone over 14 on this website? T-Hall was pretty much the face of freestyle skiing for years. Regardless of how you feel about him, he will go down as a legend of freeskiing. T-Wall will be lucky to become half that influential. No offense to him, he is sick, and by far better than I am, but this isn't even a fair comparison
 
if you really think about tanner is quite possibly the best skier there is .... period. he used to own slopestyle, and still owned pipe, not to metion he is on the forefront of originating in the backcoutry, and is starting to absolutley rip big mountain..... tom can spin on and off rails good....
