Am i the only one who finds it ironic that he is one of the most influential and quite possibly best skier around however most people(including myself) hate him?

he's a good skiier and everything, but he is not my personal favorite. he is definitely the most well known skiier. down here is so cal, there is nothing but snowboarders, and whenever i talk about skiing they are all like OH! TANNER HALL! OH!

What you and I think doesn't matter he does it for himself like all skiers and he isn't going to stop or change what he is because someone does or doesn't like him

All right, I can say that Im not into the rap scene or huge baggy clothes scene and unfortunatily that is all you guys see in tanner, if all u haters have ever actually met him u would see he is the coolest kid out there. Tanner has been one of my best friends for a long time now and I have seen him change his image many times b4, but the person behind the image is still one of the coolest fuckers i have ever met. T is the shit and has done a lot for this sport, I can say that there is nobody out there that can match him, except maybe the pepologic (fujas). Thiskid is so beyond everybody else and is probably carryiing the sport of skiing on his own. who else would hit pyramid switch? And the kid is hittin chads gap switch today as we speak.

i hear so many people call him an ass hole and what not (in this thread as well) but me and my friends met him last summer and we talked to him a little, and hes not an ass hole hes a pretty cool guy. ill bet that most of the people that say they dont like him never talked to him for even one minute

Yep^ that was aptly put... he is the Tony Hawk of skiing. He's a dope kid.. really nice. And it's true (like it or not) he is the official jedi ninja master of skiing.

Mike Wilson and Simon Dumont are WAY bigger dickheads.

first off, I think Dumont can get away with being a dickhead, and secondly, Tanner has a bad attitude. I've met him at two completely different events and both times i talked to him he was a straight up asshole. But you do have to give it up for his skiing, because he is pushing slopestyle skiing to new areas.

it doesnt matter at all if tanner is really a good guy. the fact of the matter is that he is the biggest name in freeskiing, and people associate him with freeskiing, so because most people don't know him, they can only judge him (and freeskiing) from the image that they get from him. So when he goes around acting like a jackass with a bad attitude, he trashes his own reputation and the entire sport of freeskiing.

He is the man for his skiing, and yes, he is about the best there is, and yes he could be compared to tony hawk. I do not deny his skiing skills. BUT, most people who say they hate him still agree that he is a sick skier. They just hate him because he is a white boy who tries to act black, ghetto, whatever. They dislike his attitude, not his style
