tremblenttripper's got it dead on. They're both Canadian, it's working in they're favour. Avril Levine, you suck but we'd nail you. Swollen Members, maybe they used to be a bit more original but this has happened a million times. they were making no money laying down dope beats for like ten years (except madchild) trying to make a name for themselves and had obtained a pretty substantial undrground following. then Lady Venom took off and suddenly more people were interested in their music. from that point on one could argue that their music has become more mainstream but when it comes to making no money keeping a select group of people happy or making a shitload of money going a little more mainstream I imagine any one of you out there would make the same choice. furthermore I still think that they have an original style and the re-addition of Moka Only will keep things fresh.

Much Music is pretty much the same but we don't even get that MTV shit up here in the Great White North. A lot of us kids (myself included) have all the J5 cd's and don't just listen to the singles. how can you tell swollen who they can and can't hang/ shoot vids with. Canadian music is tight. I've noticed a lot of songs recently that have camios of other canadian artists that have completely different styles of music

I just saw one of Nelly Furtado's Vids, and swollen was in it. In one hundred million by trebble charger lavigne, swollen, sum 41 and some other guys I don't recognize are all in that video. I think it is sweet that different artists can get along like that.

no, the remix wasnt on Bad Dreams, unless ive got some 'American' version. I think it's cool that there is a Canadian music industry thats moving in down here, i can only hope that they take out the weak ass shit here (in all genres) but it's a tough, big, ugly juggernaut.
