Switching to premiere. import help

I am switching to PP CS6 from fcp7. Been googling and reading a bit on best way to import from my t3i. I did some research and it said that prores is not handled well or not at all in PP. Not sure what codec to convert to from h.264 for editing.

If someone wouldnt mind going through their importing workflow that would be great.

You can just edit the h264. prores works fine in adobe, not sure who told you that it didnt.
 
alrighty. thats sick!

One last question. say i was shooting at 720 60fps, what would my sequence settings be, and which way would I go about converting the 60fps files to 30fps?
 
If you have any 1080p footage, cut in a DSLR 1080 30fps timeline and upres your 720 media.

Reinterpret your footage by right clicking on the media in the project panel and select "interpret footage".
