how do u guys spin switch i look over my left shoulder and spin natural i can switch 3 but its floaty how can i spin faster?

Some pros have a certain method of spinning switch and you can notice it if you watch them carefully in ski movies. When you are riding switch towards the jump, right before you hit the lip you want to twist as much of your upper body as you can without initiating the spin yet on your legs. So like right when you are at the lip about to take off you should look like the upper part of your body is on backwards or vice versa. This gives you a great momentum of spin to work with, plus it makes it very easy to lead with your head this way. The main thing to worry about doing spins switch your balance though so be careful about that.

i read that if you start with your head facing over the shoulder you don't spin too and then whip your body around to the other side when you hit the lip it works. I havent tried it yet though.

try looking straight forward before you get to the top of the lip, then look over your left shoulder when your ready to pop-watch candide he does this sometimes and I saw Richie Paradise do it in a video but that was for a switch9 and switch 10. Personally i would only do that for big spins.......just wind up while going switch its that complicated.

i have the same problems , but i just dont get to practise my swithc bcuz r hits arnt good enough for it, but if i get a chance ill just pravtise andfigure it out, it seems like just practising woudl be the way to get it

yeah definitely, if your head's completelt around facing the jump as you take off you wont be able to get a good long spin going, wind up with your upper body and your head right before the lip, then you can look as you release the spin and spin your body off the tranny

my new problem is that while learning switch rails ive had to look over my unnatural sholder/spin direction, so now looking over the natural one is hard and i loose control skiing in cause im used to the other way
