Switch Skiing With Helmet

Alright so this year i havent wore a helmet really until i hit my head hard on a switch landing, anyways when i started to wear my helmet again i realized its a bitch to ski switch because its harder to look over my shoulder, anybody else have this problem? i currently have a red impact and im lookin into maybe a giro 9 or a giro bad luitenant... if you have one of these helmets tell me how they are, i dont really like helmets but i wanna save my poor noggen, im lookin for light weight and good visibility with it

yeah goggles make a little difference but it doesnt compare to how hard it is with my helmet, it just feels so big and bulky too, it seems like more of a hazard than a safety item

I have the bad lt. i think it works fine, it really helps that the helmet doesnt go down super far so u can turn preatty easily. The only problem with the bad lt is that EVERYONE is rocking them.

What really bugs me is skiing switch with my hood over my head. I like to ski with it but when I go switch I'll usually flip it down first, otherwise I can't see shit.

i just got a bad lt, it works alright i suppose. I dont really agree that everyone has it. I only saw 2 other kids at killy for a whole week that had it. I like it though.

yeah the nine.9 or fuse are the best helmets out there, light weight good venting, the Bad Lt. sucks royal testicals it is heavy, fits odd on the helmet unless you were dropped on your head as a kid and your knoggin was freakishly deformed, and there is no venting in the whole damn thing

i have a giro 9 and spy blizzards. Both are very good with peripheral vision. i definitely recommned the giro 9 if you're having problems seeing.

nine MX, beeatches!

the 9 is pretty good about switch vision. but i ski with glasses, so whatever perepherial vision i could have, i lose to my 20/400 vision outside my lenses.

Heh, strange for so many of you to say helmet doesn't affect you. So you're saying its just as easy to turn your head with a helmet then with a tiny, flexible hat? well, whatever, maybe you've just been skiing with a helmet for a while, and can't contrast the two.

i wear the bad lt and i do agree somany ppl have it, escpecially snowboarders, and it doest effect me, but i have only skid 2 days in my life without a helmet so im used to it.

I'm White?

if im at the mtn i always wear a helmet, so i feel naked without it.

it gives you a (false) sense of security and therefore more confidence.

plus my skate helmet is really light so it doesnt bother me

I remember thinking the same thing during last season.

Now when the hill opened, I skied a couple of times without a helmet. (I skied switch basically all the time) Then just one day when they got some kickers I took my helmet with me and I didn't notice any difference anymore.

I have the Giro Nine.9 MX and its fine for switch riding, its really light and it doesn't get in the way.

K2 ultra. THis helmet is the shit. Has removeable earpieces which you actually will use. And i can't even describe how light it is. Only problem is my wisdoms don't fit over the helmet so I have resorted to wearing them underneath.

i hate my goggles. it makes it hard to see switch because there isnt enough vision i guess
