I'm sure none of you have heard of Switch Magazine yet... well its a new one. Props to Clint Burson for putting it out.. Hopefully it'll take hold.

^I'm sure if you sent a pre-paid envelope big enough for the magazine to jibij you'd get one back. The magazine is 8.5" X 8.5"
 
no offense but i think that freeskier did a great job of taking the place of freeze and not doing it in a bad way to the skiing community, look at the recent issue of freeskier, the magazine is sooo good and has great content that i cant compair it to any other magazine, im sorry about ranting on this new magazine but where is it really going?
 
So, is this your magazine? Who's involved? I see no names, no faces, just "editor" and "ads".

Can we order copies from the website?
 
well they need to get some ads. they should try to contact some smaller companys like skipunx and faction
 
haha harv seems a bit put off. dont worry harvey, ski time is still more popular. but i guess this ends the switch vs fakie dispute, i hope.
 
Umm dude, whats wrong with another ski magazine? Do you realize how many snowboarding magazines are out there? The more the merrier!
 
I'm the editor/founder/whatever... The name is Clint.

I know it's not Freeskier or Ski Time. They have a huge budget. I don't. Not yet anyway. I didn't see anyone else putting out a decent magazine covering the park scene so I decided to do it rather than sitting back and wishing someone would.

I'm working on the whole subscription thing. I will hopefully have something worked out within a week. For now you can email editor@skiswitch.com with your name and address and I'll get it all on a list for people that want subscriptions.

I'm cool with CONSTRUCTIVE criticism as well. Email it to the same address as above. Don't just email me with "it sucks". Tell me what you like and don't like. Tell me what you'd like to see.

As someone said, I know I need ads at some point to keep this thing going. I'm working on that. Do you think anyone is going to just hand someone money that hasn't put an issue out? Gotta start somewhere right? So while the first issue doesn't have ads, that's most likely not going to be the case in all the coming issues.

For those that have gotten the first issue already, hope you like it. For those that haven't... I'll get you one as soon as I can.
 
it's so shitty how many skiers are constantly putting things down. Everyone thinks they are the hottest shit or that they know exactly what the hottest shit is. Everyone needs to quit being so negative.
 
hey props to Clint for stepping up and putting down the money to get Switch rolling. We need more people like you in this industry. If I can be of help in any way, let me know.

You can't even begin to comprehend the duality that exists within Hemlockjibber8. Such complexities are far beyond your realm .

Now, before I completely hijack this thread, back to the subject at hand. I agree with Phrosty. And the dude who gave out props for dude's magazine. And Tom.
