i ski switch looking for my right shoulder, always have, its more comfertable, i can hit almost any rail switch but i have problems hitting airs because i spin to the left. i was wondering how good of an idea it is to hit an air looking over your right shoulder and then spiinng, left, sort of blind or if i should just start training my self to look over my right shoulder

if any one skis the same way tips on hitting air would be greatly appreciated

train yourself to look over the left shoulder when spinning left, otherwise you are pretty blind, cant spot the landing and then you go spalt.

I'm in the same situation but I just learned to spin right in switch instead of left. I really struggle at looking over my left shoulder, and doing what you are talking about, looking right and spinning left, seems like it would be quite difficult. So, forwards I spin left, switch I spin right.

I spin naturally right when I jump switch, but I spin naturally left spinning regular. I can look over both shoulders when riding switch though. I would suggest learning to look over both soldiers, then trying to spin. What you are doing is comparable to only being able to carve heelside on a snowboard. Learn to ride backwards both ways!

your problem is you shouldn't be looking over just one shoulder when you ride switch. every turn you need to stagger your stance the other way, open your shoulders, and look the other way with your head. watch this video its super helpful dude:

yup yup. Just ski looking over your left shoulder all the time. Take some switch cruiser runs. I used to only be able to look over my right shoulder. Now left is eaiser cuz i do it so much. I can do sw 270s on easier then just swtich on cuz of this.

Nice video, + karma.

To get more comfortable riding switch I force myself to do a few runs down a nice easy groomer (Ego Bowl on Whistler). Usually after 1-2 runs in the morning I feel way more comfortable.

Also remember to stagger your legs like the guy does in the video, being able to see clearly behind you is really really important.
