when i ski switch i always look over my right shoulder

its what feels more comofrtable, and ive tried looking over left and it doesnt feel right

but i want to start doing switch spins on jumps and i spin left

is it natural for people to hit a jump looking over their right shoulder and spin to the left?

it would be easier to look over your left and spin left. just ride switch all day and keep looking over your left shoulder, it will eventually become comfortable.

alright i guess i can try that

but I'm more curious if anyone else has the same problem, and how they overcame it if theres a way besides re learning how to ski switch

youtube search chris turpin newschoolers.com trick tip and it should come up with his trick tip on skiing switch basically, if you're looking over your left shoulder you point with your left hand down the hill and then when you go to turn right you turn your body and point with your right and look over your right shoulder too yea thats about it and just slide one ski so your toes are at the back of your opposite binding and that should be the foot thats leading the turn that is further down the slope

i know that was poooooooorly written and might confuse you but i tried to help.

word, look this up.

open up your shoulders and you will feel it way easier to switch shoulders. i assume this is whats the main thing stopping you from alternating. and not staggering your stance.

i look right and spin right, but its all personal preference. i have a friend who looks left and spins right.

just ski switch lookin over your left shoulder.

even if it doesnt feel right.

even if it is scary.

i had the same problem.

just get used to skiing and looking left.

tons of people have this problem.

if oyu look carefully in candide s first or second movie you can see he spins left and look right.

he learned.

so will you.

just train. it will come i promess.

i spin left normally but switch i look over my right shoulder, and i spin right switch but ive only done switch 1s

ya i spin right normally but i feel more comfortable skiing fakie looking over my left sholder.

just takes practice, try going down the hill looking over your spinning shoulder for a couple of runs and it will feel mroe natural.

i have exactly the same problem. i just have to force my self to look over the left shoulder on cabspins. i find it hard to turn looking left but i've sorta got over the fear of going straight donig it, you just have to force your self. on the bright side i can do cab right side 3s better than normal right side 3s.

on a switch 1 once I looked over my right shoudler and spu7n left and I landed waaaayyy to tegh side of teh transition. I guess just look over your left shoudler abunch while skiing switch, and you should get used to it. It took me a whuile to get used to skiing backward period, so that is just anotehr step.

im a natural left spinner but for switch i naturally spin right...its wack shit but people always think im doin switch un-nat tricks haha
