do they or do u think they could pull of some switch tricks or land switch in moguls, i definitly think its possible
 
it would take too much time to revert to switch and/or back again. unless they made switch tricks worth a shitload.
 
Your knee does not function in a way that allows you to ski moguls switch. Another problem may lie in the way your eyes are positioned on your head. Either way, if you try to land switch you'll either eat it hard(most likely), or get smoked by the guy that's racing you.
 
well u can only get smoked if your dualin, and who the hell would ski a line switch, i thought peeps were talkin about just hittin the jump switch
 
i beg to differ with all you skeptics. last year one saturday there was a mogel comp at my mountain. lttle to know air mind you and a bunch of young kids just trying to get to the end. it was only like 100m so i signed up and did the whole thing switch. i got the best time and got 35$ towards store merchandise which i blew on teflon and wax.
 
I was just talking about switch landings, a switch takeoff would be possible if you're really quick, although it would be insanely difficult.
 
i was thinkin about this too....if they landed the second jump switch(in a big comp) the moguls until the finish line are rather flat...i could see that happening. i tried a 180 out of some trees with a mogul landing and i ate it hard
 
too bad any trick landed switch in a mogul comp is worth less than a double twister. they call it FREEstyle, but they shun creativity and prgression.
 
You can do that if you're really, really, really ridiculously fast setting up. Probably about as fast as Derek Zoolander is good-looking.
 
i did it in a local mountain competition a few years ago... i popped a 1 about 3 or 4 moguls before the jump and then did switch 1... though it was a joke of a competition and they gave some 7 year old first place for finishing the course... so it can be done... it'd be sick to see at pro level or atleast at a legit comp
 
marty odlin did a switch 5 this year at us selections and i have seen him do it multiple times in a full runs so yes it can be done

yes i have seen switch 5s in the moguls. i know kid who pulled it five years ago. no joke, i am not full of shit, and i am not making it up. literally, five years ago. however i have also seen this kid entirely miss the jump in moguls trying to go in backwards. you basically have to stop or go real slow about one or two moguls before the jump and try to hop around. it wasn't very cool, but maybe if someone learned to do it good...

Last year at X he did a run completely switch. The judges didn't qualify him for the finals though. Total Bullshit. Just because he wasn't going 18 feet out like dumont and those guys.
 
yeah it does...at that competition for kid skiers in Keystone a few years back (i forget what it was called) like Next Gen search or some shit, by Fox, there was an "all-mtn" section and kids were taking a black diamond mogul face switch the whole way....and they are like 8 years old.
 
my japanese homie does cork 9 to fakie in the bumps, his friend shingo does cork 10's and aussie andrea berchtold was doing switch flairs in his runs 3 years ago.
 
Last year I got to ski with Candide, and during the mogul comp up here in steamboat for the Jabra thing, and he would revert right before the jump and was doing these sweet little off-axis 180's.

Also there are the Olympic freestyle prelims up here this weekend for a qualifing spot on the team, so i'll check for ppl trying them... i doubt it though. I saw a few ppl practicing some jumps earlier in the week, and they were doing crazy shit off of them,like dafy twister 720's, cork 10's, etc
 
every year the world cup mougls comp comes to my mountian and every year at least one person dose a switch 5 they pop switch off the last mougl then hit the jump but they are the ones who know they wont win because they get almost no points for it and it kills your speed totaly
 
last year in that competition around this time, candide did a switch one blunt in the mogul competition.
